I drove two hours from Irvine just because I was craving The Ppong and it was so worth it.
From the second I walked in, I remembered exactly why I was willing to make the trip. The ambience is warm and inviting, with that perfect mix of modern and nostalgia.
The 짬뽕 was everything I dreamed of on the drive over: deep, smoky broth with the perfect level of spice, packed with fresh seafood and bouncy noodles that soaked up every bit of flavor. It’s the kind of dish that doesn’t just satisfy your hunger, it heals your soul.
The 탕수육? Unreal. Light and crispy with a delicate balance of sweet and tangy. Each bite was golden and crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the sauce! Don’t even get me started. Not too thick, not too runny. Just right.
We also had the 콩국수, and let me tell you, it’s rare to find one this good outside of Korea. Cold, creamy, nutty soy milk broth, firm noodles, and that refreshing, just-salty-enough flavor that makes it the ultimate summer dish. You can taste the care in every spoonful.
And then came the 식혜 slush. I didn’t know I needed 식혜 in slush form until now. It’s genius. Slightly sweet, icy, and so refreshing that it actually made me pause mid-sentence. It’s the perfect way to end a meal, especially after 짬뽕’s heat.
Service was impeccable. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. They remembered little details, made us feel like family, and struck that rare balance of being present without hovering.
Honestly, The Ppong isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a destination. I came all the way from Irvine, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. It’s that kind of place: the one you crave, the one you trust, and the one that always makes the...
Read moreBeautiful, clean, new park in a central location. Pressed rubber ground surface, modern play equipment including: rope climbing elements, bucket swings, normal swings, slides, Merry go round, climbing rocks, and a smaller structure perfect for crawlers/early walkers. My three year old and 6 month old loved this park. There were several other families there with young kids at 10am on a Tuesday. I felt perfectly safe being there alone with my young kids. There's also a skate park that has a few people in it. And a work out station for adults. A large Pavillion was next to the playground with several picnic tables. It's a beautiful park with a lot to offer. Go...
Read moreVery nice park with a ball field, exercise equipment, a great play area, skate park, and ample picnic seating. However, the splash pad was not working even though it is supposed to be open June to September. Very disappointing as there were at least 25 children there on a Saturday that were all wanting to use the splash pad (all were in bathing suits).
Update - City of Anaheim is waiting on a contractor to replace a broken valve. Disappointing that couldn't have been done before the start of summer, but hopefully this will be repaired and...
