On January 22nd 2022 my fiance and I came here for dinner. We were the only customers there to dine in. A woman sat us, and gave us each a menu. She took notice of his service dog (wearing her official collar and service dog tags) as soon as she saw her, she said "I don't think dogs are allowed." We informed her that Tika is his trained service dog and that ADA regulations allow for service dogs to be in all California restaurants with their disabled person or trainer. While we looked over the menu there was quite a bit of rather loud conversation going on between the employees. When the woman came back (We thought she was there to take our order) she informed us that no dogs are allowed in the restaurant. A man who didn't identify himself, came from behind her and told us "No dogs whatsoever are allowed in the restaurant" We explained to him that she is his trained service dog and that it is illegal to refuse service .. He said that his establishment was a private business and that they would not serve us. We were told to leave, We informed him that we will be filing a complaint against his establishment based on ADA regulations. Penal code section 365.5 PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT A BUSINESS THAT DISCRIMINATES AGAINST PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES OR THEIR...
Read moreI wanted to like this place, but I had dined in for a pad thai, and they forgot to omit peanuts, which I'm allergic to. I alerted the server, and he got the entree right away... but I feel like the second plate that came out was probably rushed? It was really salty, and I simply asked for it to-go after eating 1/3rd of it. I later added my own rice noodles to make it palatable. I do really like their drunken noodles though, seems like a chef special.
On a third visit though, we ordered takeout, and the lady, is usually super sweet and nice, but she literally was looking at us expectantly when the machine's card-reader asked for tip. That really puts pressure on the customer to tip, its starting to be too much. Last I checked, there is no tipping for takeout. They didn't service us. I want to love this place, but I cannot with these places asking for tip on takeout. The Covid pandemic allowed for extra tipping to help with the hard times, but my wage hasn't kept up, so who is helping me in these hard times?
Conclusion, probably won't be a regular place for me, unless you really really want some drunken noodle and no other place does it. But there's a number of good thai restaurants, haven't fully...
Read moreWe had such a Thai-rific experience at Royal Thai Orchid! Located in a strip mall, the atmosphere was peaceful and inviting, making it the perfect spot to curry up and enjoy a delicious meal. But the real magic? The food—it was like taking a first-class flight straight to Thailand!
Every dish we tried was un-pho-gettable. The salad and shrimp rolls were fresh and full of flavor, the Tom Yum soup had the perfect balance of spice and tang, and the chicken yellow curry was so rich and comforting, we wanted to curry it home with us. The Pad See Ew with beef was perfectly cooked, with that delicious smoky flavor that had us noodling for more.
Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly Thai-ly passionate about the food—and for good reason! You could tell each dish was made with care and expertise.
There was no wait when we arrived, and we were more than happy to chill-i out, enjoy our meal, and soak in the relaxing background music.
If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Thai food in a cozy, welcoming setting, this place is a must Thai! We’ll definitely be pad-dling...
