Antley's Barbecue Restaurant — Restaurant in Orangeburg

"Bad Attitude Antley's" should be this company's new name! And their new slogan should be: "Don't expect a smile!" This rating is not for the food, but for the very rude and pushy Antley's staff members. Today was about my 6th bad experience with rude Antley's employees, so I decided that I would leave a review with some customer feedback. Every time I go there to eat at Antley's, one of the employees is treating me badly. Even when I call in my food for a pickup order, I am spoken to badly by an employee, who acts like I am inconveniencing them. When you walk in the door, not one staff member is smiling. They all act like they wish you were not here. Most times after I have gotten my food, I feel as if the cleaning ladies are pushing me out of the door, before I am even done eating. I actually had a lady start cleaning my table tonight when I was still seated, and in the middle of eating my food. This was VERY uncomfortable and unprofessional. (This was an older dyed-haired brunette lady with a green/white plaid blouse and tight jeans) Who wants to eat at a place where patrons feel pushed out the door. It wasn't some sweet lady wiping my table, but an angry, bitter, woman with a frown on her face. She acted like I was in her way, and that I needed to hurry up. After she was done wiping my table, I told her "thank you," and I was totally ignored. I asked a different staff member, when to expect some fresh chicken, and the woman rolled her eyes, and told me that they "weren't making anymore." Then she went back to texting on her phone. It wasn't what she said, but how she said it. With an Antley's bad attitude. They should coin the phase! That is 2 very rude encounters with Antley's employees in one evening. The last several times I have gone to Antley's I have been treated badly. I love the food, but the staff is very unprofessional and not pleasant at ALL! I will NOT be returning until I hear that the staff is kinder and more professional. There are many other eating establishments who will appreciate my patronage. I don't want to spend my hard earned money where it is not appreciated. Antley's food is an A+, but the staff is an F- !! Y'all can do much...

Extremly disappointed. Where is the BBQ? NO RIBS NO BRISKET NO BBQ! ASK! Everything is baked or FRIED! IF I WAS going to a buffet I still would be disappointed! What type of place claims to be a BBQ place and bakes everything? Buffett has only 3 Meat Choices. 2 Chicken Choices and Pulled Pork! Tje fried chk is horrible, it just breaded chicken. I didnt expect the colonel 11 herbs and spices, but was plain no flavor just fried bread! Now what they claim is BBQ CHICKEN is OVER COOKED BAKED CHICKEN with BBQ sauce poured all over it! THE PULLED PORK is Dry amd flavorless! If you have ever been to MIAMI, the grocery stores all carry pulled pork. The worst pulled pork in Miami at a grocery store is better then the pulled pork here! Tje hush puppies, potato salad and baked beans were surprisingly better than average but still nothing special! If you want a clean ok buffett then maybe I would go again or recommend but probably NOT! SO DISAPPOINTED! ...

I had a taste for some Barbecue today and decided to try Antley's for my 1st time since it's nearby. I went to take out window and they had no menus. I would normally give a pass on this but as a service issue I feel the Server should have cared much more about making my experience more pleasent, but she didn't. To save a bit of time I cut to the chase and ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a pint of baked beans and a pint of cold slaw. The slaw was fresh and tasty, the beans taste like straight out of the can. The pulled pork sandwich was terrible. I'm not a fan of mustard based barbecue sauce but theirs was particularly nasty. The meat was cooked fairly good but it was so bland that it reminded me of hospital food. No smoke or charcoal flavor at all.
