Should be negative (stars)...Waitress/owner (?) was rude again!!!
We had been supporting the business several times before and during COVID-19, even ordering take out, and dining in when they could finally reopen.
During one of our visits, a few months ago, she told us we would have to pay extra for more tortilla chips & salsa. I ordered the Tachos Guacamole which is around $10.
After eating chips & salsa and waiting for the Guacamole, she tried to tell us that we will have to pay extra for more chips. I asked...does that mean I have to pay for tortillas chips to eat our Guacamole with now? She told us next time we come in, we would have to pay.
Wasn't sure if we should go back, after the rudeness of the waitress/owner(?) But thought maybe she was having a bad day....
Fast forward to our most recent visit (Wed). We were pleasantly greeted by a new waitress that introduced herself as a new employee (1-2 weeks) who was very sweet! We got our chips & salsa and she took our soda order.
Then waited & waited & waited for her to come back and take our order....after several minutes...we wondered what happened to our sweet new waitress? We finished our chips and salsa and sodas.
Finally the same rude waitress we had encountered before arrived at our table to take our order. After she took our order, we asked for a refill on the soda drinks.
She commented that we can only have one refill of our sodas, after that we have to pay full price again. I asked how much are they...she said that Sodas are $2.75 or $2.95.
We said okay no problem, but we had never been charged before. She never brought our drinks or food out...other workers did...not even the new waitress either.
We never saw the rude waitress until after we sat there for quite awhile, my husband drove separately from work, and said I gonna go home.
We were obviously done with our meal, and I had to flag someone down to get a doggy bag. We also had to flag down other employees to get my husband some silverware, more napkins, and then more salsa & chips only to never get any chips, until after the third request of different employees.
What in the heck is going on?
If you want us to pay more...we will...we just want someone to acknowledge us being there!
Finally she approached the table, and I asked for the bill. She brought it back and with a different (nicer) demeanor as she handed me the bill. MIA the whole time throughout our meal. Sorry but we tried to support your business, but I think I can get treat better somewhere else.
Note...I did not see anywhere in the menu regarding paying extra for soda drinks or chips & salsa after 1 refill. Also, all the other times we went there were we ever told that would be extra charges....only the 2 times we got the rude waitress. Sad to be treated this way. I get restaurants are having a hard time getting good help and some struggling through the pandemic, but I get it...we aren't welcomed and you don't need...
Read moreI have lived across the street from tachos for over 13 years and time and time again the employees have consistently shock me with always finding new ways to be rude. I was just walking by the restaurant down mollalla Ave and my wife called me because of road traffic it was hard to hear her. I quietly walked around tachos where it was quieter so I could hear my wife. I didn't have to but I didn't want to be rude to the guest that were dinning outside. Not even 2 minutes go by and some worker from tachos follows me around the building to interrupt my phone call. While he could clearly see a phone in my hand he proceeded to keep trying to talk to me making me get off the phone and rudely have to end my phone call to tell me that no one is allowed to be anywhere in the shared parking lot. I was told it's private property and how dare I try to quietly talk to my wife while I simply walked by their restaurant. And he proceeded to do this right in front of the actual guest making a big seen then when I politely asked him to please show me anywhere at all that said I trespassing private property he just walked away telling me there doesn't have to be signs anywhere. So just to let everyone know if you make the mistake of walking by tachos please make sure you use the other side of the road, id hate to see anyone else that's trying to be polite have their evening ruined like mine. I'd been waiting over a week to finally be able to talk to my wife and now I will have to wait another week....
Read moreAbsolute worst experience for my first visit to Tacho's. After two attempts to correct my simple "street" taco the first was a hard shelled taco with all the American toppings cheese, lettuce, tomatoes. I simply said is that a street taco? That waitress rolled her eyes and said ugh you want a street taco and I said yes that's what I ordered, calmly, so she brings me another taco, this one had I think canned meat smelt like tuna, tomatoes, onions, and a ton of parm cheese and cold tortillas, the original waitress comes by to ask if we were ready for our check, just a few minutes after getting that taco, so I asked nicely if the taco could be taken off since I asked two times for a street taco with just carnitas, cilantro and onion, and have not received the correct taco, she proceeds to rudely scold me in front of everyone, you wasted 2 of our tacos. Ummmmm.... what... You couldn't get my taco right how is that my fault!!!! It was a simple Mexican street taco- Tortilla, real meat, cilantro and onion is all I asked for, very nicely. I am limited to what I can eat and seriously felt like I was being punked. How humiliating, I was never rude or disrespectful and didnt deserve such rude, argumentative service. I highly do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will...
