Our experience and this location was terrible. I had to repeat myself multiple times. I asked if I could upgrade the kids meal to get a mini blizzard and they said no, but the coupon attached to the kids meal bag says 50¢ off a blizzard! When I got to the window, the total was way too low. When I mentioned how $14 was too little for all we ordered, they said “for 3 kids meals?” They missed all the desserts even after repeating myself 3 times to order one of the blizzards. I told them the rest of my order and they charged a mystery amount with no receipt or mention of the total. The kids cones were melted when they passed them out. But we accepted them because I was tired of complaining and waiting in the drive thru. Then after they handed me the blizzards, they closed the window. I waited until they opened it again to see why I was still sitting there and I asked for spoons for the blizzards. She leaned out the window to see if we had them on the drink carrier with the straws, then let out a loud sigh and got me the tiniest spoons they had. My spoon only could reach halfway down the cup.
My 8 year old noticed all the issues and as we pulled away he said “that was the worst Dairy Queen ever”. He talked about it the whole ride home. He even came up with an acronym WDQE. So now he calls the Oregon City DQ “WDQE” (Worst Dairy Queen Ever).

Read moreWe go to dairy Queen's all over the Portland metro from troutdale out to canby and of course our home DQ OC. The consistency is amazing therefore the banana split must be conquered. The soft serve ice cream at dairy Queen is priceless. Old dudes like me can feel young again. I had my own banana split alongside my wife cuz it was getting hard to watch her enjoy it that much. Pure honesty here. My former peanut buster parfait couldn't hold a lick to that beautiful banana split. The burger smelled good and I can see the fries moving about in the kitchen but I usually stick with the ice cream treats. They do a great job here that's why there's a line around the block. The interesting left turn to the drive-thru window passing the 50 style motels style apartment is always an added tree. I've been waiting for a gangster to come out and scream at me to dim my headlights. A+ plus experience nonetheless the staff is always so charming.
And I wish to point out one thing that you can always rely on at a dairy Queen. They always always always always remember the spoon and napkin. Not a lot of major chains and drive-thrus can make this claim. They never forget the spoon and...
Read moreI’m not one to leave negative reviews, but my sister and I are truly disappointed in the service we have received here. We love going to DQ and frequently go to the one in Canby. Our dog, always loves to go, and she loves getting a puppy cone. Every time we come here, they say they’re “out of puppy cones.” We have never been told this at any other DQ, yet every time we have come here, it’s always the same answer. Tonight (whoever works 8pm shift) told us to remind her at the window about the puppy cone. When we get to the window, she hands us our ice cream, and we mention the puppy cone. The girl at the window tells us, “we’re out.” And then JUST CLOSES THE WINDOW! We decided to just cut our losses and drive off without saying anything further. I mean, what do you say to someone that closes the window on you? We have given this place many chances, but lesson learned. The longer drive to Canby is worth it; at least the staff is kind.
