Golden Taste — Restaurant in Oregon City

Golden Taste is by far the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever visited! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly attentive, always going above and beyond to make sure you have a great dining experience. The menu is extensive, offering a wide range of traditional dishes alongside some modern twists that are equally delicious. I’ve tried several items, and each one has been a hit. Their General Tso’s chicken is perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sweet and spicy sauce. The dumplings are homemade and bursting with flavor—definitely a must-try! The fried rice is always cooked to perfection, with a great mix of vegetables, egg, and savory seasonings.

What truly sets Golden Taste apart is their attention to detail in both service and flavor. They take the time to explain the dishes if you’re unsure, and they’re always happy to make recommendations based on your preferences. Every dish tastes fresh, and the portion sizes are generous, giving you great value for your money. The presentation of the food is beautiful, and it arrives at your table piping hot.

Today was our 1st visit. The food was amazing. We both ordered the pick your entre dinner. My sons Beef with Broccoli was tender and full of flavor. I had Chicken with snow peas. The taste was amazing. We both had the sweet n sour chicken. Superb. Delicious pork fried rice and egg flower soup. The appetizer choice was fried shrimp. All battered food was light, not greasy or tasting of oil. This restaurant is well worth the trip. I'm glad it's close to my sons house. This is now going to be a regular visit for him. So happy to have found such a treasure. More food than you can eat in one meal and the prices are good. Really disappointed with the food today. Didn’t even resemble the photo that was on their online menu. Got the cashew chicken and the chicken was cut into odd-shaped cubes, meat was hard and chewy, and just had a weird taste. I couldn’t even eat the chicken. It was also missing red bell peppers and only had a few pieces of cashews. Not sure what happened, as I’ve been here before and the chicken was not like that. Really not worth the $11 imho. Ended up throwing out. I wish I got a picture. Probably won’t be returning. Two stars for the nice gentleman at the counter. Otherwise I would give 1 star for the food.
