Saturday was my first time at Bethany’s Table, as they were highly recommended by friends and family members. I went with my Aunt and Uncle and Husband, for an early Christmas dinner. The vibe when I walked in was so cozy and super dark and moody. I loved it.
We got our table and ordered drinks fairly quickly.
45 minutes later and we still didn’t have our drinks… We asked our waitress if they were coming and she said the bar was backed up and they would be out shortly. Our drinks finally arrived an hour later, we were midway through our appetizers. At this point my party of 4 was very annoyed. The thing that bothered me most was the lack of communication. I don’t mind waiting for something if a restaurant is short staffed, just state that in the beginning. Don’t have us ask twice where our drinks are.
Lastly, it was dessert time. I ordered the seasonal crisp and asked what type of fruit was in it. Our waitress told us blackberry peach, my favorite. Once it arrived, I took a bite only to deserve it was apple. Which is my least favorite. Apparently my crisp was apple butter, which in my opinion was not good. All I tasted was butter. I asked our waitress if there was some kind of mix up, and she said the chef said they ran out of blackberry peach and that’s what the flavor was. What if I was allergic to apples? I’m not sure what annoyed me more, the drinks being an hour late or this. In my opinion, it’s not that hard to use verbal communication and tell a customer they are out of something before serving the wrong item to them. I was completely over this dinner experience at this point. She offered me a different dessert but I declined.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed at this restaurant. Not to mention it’s a very expensive place to eat, so being this dissatisfied doesn’t sit well with me.

Read moreWe had a really unfortunate experience this afternoon. I had read several reviews and was really excited to go for happy hour/ early dinner. We moved into the neighborhood recently and I’ve been looking for a spot to replace my previous hang out. Bethany’s Table seemed so promising. However, when we arrived around 4:20 we were greeted by an annoyed looking hostess. Keep in mind, there were only TWO tables with people sitting at them at the time. I asked if she could seat us (2 adults, 2 kids). She responded, “You know it’s happy hour, right?” Yeah, so? She said all the tables were booked for dinner. (But again only 4 people in the whole restaurant at the time). We asked if we could sit at one of the tables in the shade on the completely empty patio (it was 87 today). She said no, they have a private party coming in there later. We asked if we could sit at one of the (again ALL EMPTY) tables out front, as long as it was in the shade because kids and 87 degrees in the sun don’t mix well. There were 2 in the shade we could see directly, but she said “maybe I have a table on the side”. I asked, “Is it in the shade?” She responded, “I don’t know. I’m busy.”
We won’t be going back. Which makes me sad because the menu...
Read moreI like the simplicity of this restaurant. The menu is easy to understand with just the right number of items that do not overwhelm the customers. The drinks options are on the contrary so many, which I really appreciate Cocktails, wines, beers and liquor are all available. Though the menu appears simple the taste of every dish is complex and yet so delicious. You can tell the chefs are paying attention to detail and curating flavors to ensure a great dining experience - it's not only about filling the bellies of the patrons here. Be sure to ask about the daily specials not on the kenu. I tried the smoked salmon in tomato sauce and it was amazing! Tenderloin is absolutely wonderful and is nicely smoky and very juicy. The beef ribs fall off the bone and were cooked just right. The creme brulee twist served in half a lemon was tasty and got a top score from a presentation perspective. This dessert went particularly well after my smoked salmon entree. I also washed it down with a double espresso which was creamy and delish! This is a great place for special occasions and the prices are above average However, the experience is worth every cent!...
