I was chosen as a winner of an Instagram giveaway for a $50 gift card, so you know I had to check this place out! There were some minor hiccups with using the gift card at the restaurant, though. Staff seemed rather new and didn't really know how to process the gift card, but after a bit of time, they managed to figure it out. I placed an order for a medium pepperoni pizza (with mushrooms, of course), plus an order of garlic parmesan bites and a 12-count boneless buffalo wing. I thought I'd be able to sit down in the restaurant and enjoy the meal, but this shop is basically grab-and-go. There are some picnic tables outside, but it was pouring rain when we went, so that was a no-go. After about 20 minutes or so, I received my order and I was excited to dig in. Everything was hot and smelled so good. I tried the garlic parmesan bites and they were unreal. The buffalo wings turned out to be bone-in, which was a bummer, but not that big of a deal. They tasted delicious. And, the star of the show - the pizza - was just as tasty. I wish I would've taken some more pictures of everything, but all I got was my half-eaten pizza! Overall, this place was amazing, and I'd definitely recommend it. I'd also recommend you place an order for pick-up instead of dine-in.

I’ll be honest, I had soured on this place towards the end of its time as ‘Champ’. Went back to see what changed after the rebrand, and am so glad I did. The owner/cook is so friendly, patient, and gave an all around positive pickup interaction, really felt like a neighbor rather than a number. The hand-tossed: City cooks it properly, no Champ-style undercooked dough here! A good sauce-to-cheese ratio with a solid crust and a slice that isn’t soggy, limp, or cardboard-like. High quality pepperoni that doesn’t overwhelm or leave that weird film in your mouth. The Detroit: Typically not a fan of the deeper dish pizzas but City manages to keep it from being greasy or burnt at the edges like is common at a lot of local places. Good poofy dough that isn’t full of oil like cheap chains do. THE WINGS: DO NOT SLEEP ON THESE WINGS The best deal for price/quantity I’ve found post-pandemic, served to me hot, fresh, and just the right amount of sauced. Like I cannot express how much these wings completely stand on their own. If you’ve been wanting a classic wing like you remember ‘back when wings were a quarter each’, this is what you’ve been waiting for. REPEAT: DO NOT SLEEP ON THESE WINGS

We are done with Champ Pizza, and you should be too. Our last visit we had a horrible experience the pizza looked like a child tried for the first time to make a pizza. We thought we would give them another try last night. Big mistake, we ordered the large Hawaiian. If we hadn't been so hungry the pizza would have gone in the garbage. Only 11 pieces of Canadian bacon and about 15 pieces of pineapple. slop on the sauce and sprinkle on some cheese. Eating out is so costly anymore and when we do we expect to get our money's worth. Champs will not be getting my business. They are obviously more concerned with the bottom dollar than customer service. I am done... One more mention. The prices on the web are not the same as the store. The store seems to be higher even after the order has been placed. Shady stuff going on here. As far as which dish I recommend. NONE! How much did I spend? way too much. I could have went and bought a frozen pizza and it would have surpassed the quality of the pizza I received last night.
