My go-to, quality night-out locale.
…
-Superb tap list that has something on it for every of beer enthusiast
-Fantastic cocktail list and they do it the same way every time despite staff changes (our fan favorite for years has been the Love Spell!)
-Great whiskey selection for those who dare
-Fun season concoctions and boozy ice cream/sorbet! Yum!
-Food menu that is forever getting fine-tuned and parts reiterated. My recommendation would be the Cubano or Soup de Jour
-Can brew shop that has awesome fresh beers - highly recommend
-Their staff is phenomenal. Really hard workers that keep great attitudes despite busy times and infrequent impatient customers
-They pick great playlists that are fresh and not overplayed
-For a night out with friends or your SO, head to a table and play one of the many board games adjacent to the bar
-TRIVIA NIGHTS! Follow them on instagram for updates to their events, but most importantly of these is Trivia! The owner/manager puts a lot of effort into building and performing the elaborate jeopardy-style trivia that is set on the TVs with team-by-table competition. It’s a can’t miss!
-Outdoor seating; they didn’t have outdoor seating like this until just a couple years ago but it’s so lovely! Fenced in, heaters for the colder times, mist for the warmer times, and just a solid atmosphere. The only bummer here is the location (being on Farmington) tends to lean roaring with those big ol’ muffler boys screaming through the town annoyingly. But that’s on them, not on the 649
THANK YOU for existing, 649. I wish I had the wherewithal to build something like this myself, but I will leave it to...
Read moreI have been a customer for 3 years. Before today, I would have been glad to report a few excellent things about this establishment (a wide selection of food and beverages, cleanliness, exceptional customer service, etc) but unfortunately, today, my family was 100% discriminated against.
My two children (ages 1 and 5) looked around for approx 4 min while I ordered. Suddenly, a man (who later identified himself as the owner) popped his head around from the back room door and said "Hello, can your kids keep it down? Otherwise, I will have to ask you to leave" I replied "Well I am not sure if you heard; but I JUST asked them to settle down." Owner: "Okay, well I need them to be quiet." Me: "Understood. Just curious, do you have children?" Unnamed Man: "Yes, I have one, and when I need her to be quiet, I take her outside of the establishment." Me: "Okay, then you would understand its difficult to accomplish that with a 1.5 year old?" Owner:"I am going to ask you to leave. Your beer will be comped (IT WASN'T) and I need you to go right now. This is a bar." Me: "As far as I am concerned, this should be a kid-friendly establishment until 6 pm when minors are no longer permitted." Owner: "Well I am the owner and I want you to leave."
I have never felt so judged for having children in my life, ever before. I am in utter shock at the treatment of this establishment. I'm sharing my story in hopes of preventing this discrimination from happening to another family...

The service here is great. The bartender with the beard is adorable! But yikes, there is very little, if nothing, here under $6.50. That's a little pricey for a beer. Admittedly, I am the farthest thing from a beer aficionado. I just came here to meet someone for a date. Even so, I think I may have acquired an unhealthy addiction to Gulden Draak. ($9.00 for 13oz, OUCH!) I think that's my new favorite beer, but let's be clear, previously it was Corona, so maybe the bar was never that high to begin with.
Ok yes, I am ghetto white trash and still reeling after moving to Aloha where things are magically more expensive. I'm sure you fancy people will find this place perfectly acceptable.
The atmosphere is warm. It gets a little loud, but never so loud that you have to shout. I am not a huge fan of the very wide-open floor plan. Not the best for dating and having private discussions, which is about the only reason I'd ever go to a bar ahem I mean "Tap-house" I am in...
