6/25 they have a new manager that starts with an A. Alvaro quit. They remade my scrambled eggs perfectly because the Hispanic cooks don’t understand the waitress when she asks them to mix the eggs and yolk together fully before cooking them. The hashbrowns were burnt so they remade them. The waitress was very polite!
2/25 cost $40 with tip and didn’t get full for 2 adults and 2 young kids. eggs were not beat fully before cooking, then were chopped up and gross. Kids would not eat them. Hashbrowns are tolerable but not great, taste like reconstituted ones. Omelette was not made as ordered and was gross.
12/24: Alvaro the manager was super polite and put my OJ on the house since I wanted to split it with my kids. There was only one server and a huge party in front of us, so there was a long wait to get seated but it was worth the wait because once we ordered we got our food quickly and it was great! We got 2 Blueberry pancakes (you can order as a side even though not on the menu, but make sure to tell them to cook the middle all the way through because I got diarrhea the next morning) which were AMAZING with blueberry syrup, the hashbrowns tasted fine this time (unlike anywhere in town), the broccoli was sweet and yummy, and the green beans had half yellow and were small and ok. The kids loved everything! You can get the 2 x 2 x 2 and substitute hashbrowns for meat and blueberry pancakes for regular pancakes!
2023: We grabbed the wrong menu while waiting a long time in the lobby and our waitress didn’t make sure we had the right one so we didn’t see the steak and salmon options until as we left when we saw it in the window. We also paid $12.50 for our pancakes with strawberries on them and eggs and hashbrowns because our waitress didn’t bother to tell us that there was a “Rooty Tooty” special where we could have gotten the same thing for $7 if we had looked at the front window (or maybe the right menu). I told her I wish she had told me but she had no response. There is tons of red 40 in the strawberries I bet since the syrup they are in is bright red. We should have tried blueberry pancakes with blueberry topping. The eggs were yummy. The hashbrowns were cooked in rancid oil. The server never asked how our food was. She seemed annoyed that I was walking around the empty part of the restaurant to calm my baby while waiting for our food. The steak burger is just a hamburger and tasted ok. Fries were good. Pancakes were smaller than Denny’s. Left hungry. Should have ordered 3 meals for 2 adults...
Read moreMe and another person came here for a late breakfast. This was at around 12:15 PM (Mst). We noticed it was a little busy at the time we came in and expected some wait, which is completely reasonable. We were sat down very quickly, which setup positive expectations for the rest of the visit. Once seated, we decided what we want and waited patiently for someone to take our order for drinks. We waited for a little over thirty minutes without ever being seen by anyone. I noticed a member of staff walk by, and I looked at him and sort of nodded. He then told us he notified our server. She came over, and apologized. Then took our food and drink orders. We ordered normal off-the-menu items, with no modifications or special requests. We only got water for our drinks. About two minutes or so went by, then we received our waters. My date and I then waited for another forty minutes, and I started to feel a bit more impatient. Another group of people had come in AFTER us. They had six people in their group. Not only did they get their drinks very quickly, but their food came out before ours. This is because we were forgotten about, which made their order go in before ours. This was mildly upsetting until it had been an hour since we were seated, and the group of six was finished with their food getting ready to pay. The waitress didn’t come back to give us any update on wait time. No one else checked on us. The waitress even came by to speak with a member of staff. This was directly in front of our table. She looked directly at us multiple times and said nothing. I don’t like being rude to anyone, or causing problems. Which is why I remained silent. After an hour of sitting there, wondering how long the food would take I couldn’t keep my patience. I felt ignored and not cared for, so my date and I got up and left, saying nothing. The gentleman in the group of six noticed us leaving and asked if we ever got our food. I told him what happened and he felt sympathy for us. A customer cared more about us, than the people we were going to pay to serve us. Absurd. Find a different iHop or clear your schedule before you eat here. With all that I’ve said this iHop in Orem Utah earned one star. Do not...
Read moreOrdered and paid for a curbside pickup order from the Orem store. Paid for order online. Received confirmation of the order with an order number and pickup time. Followed instructions for curbside pickup and texted the number indicated on their curbside pickup sign at the location. Several things went wrong.
The order wasn't ready. We waited an extra 15-minutes texting the indicated pickup number repeatedly with no response. When I went in to inquire, we were told that they didn't do curbside pickup anymore despite bring a participating location on the website. We were told the website was old and didn't work. Nor did the curbside text alert number work that was indicated clearly on their sign out front of their store.
We were told that our order had not been received and was not prepared. When I asked about how to get refunded for the initial order the hostess didn't know and the email confirmation we had received had no instructions either. I asked if we could still get it food and was told if have to make and pay for a new order. We wanted the food so I agreed.
A new take out order charge was applied ($1.50) was applied so I paid more the second time. And even though my order with all of its details and selections was copied directly from our email confirmation it still was incorrect once we brought it home and opened the containers. Before we left I had to ask again to speak to the manager about how to get a refund for double payment. That has to be requested manually by her after the weekend and will take up to 48-hours. If we don't receive it by then we will have to call back and have them look into it.
All told, it took more than an hour after our initial pickup time to get a replacement order which we had to pay for twice (plus a takeout charge) and the order was incorrect when we got home. My wife's order was correct and the food was good for both despite mine being incorrect.
My wife really wanted that particular meal from IHOP. If she wants it again, I don't think I'll give the Orem location another opportunity. We hope we will have a better experience somewhere else and that our initial online order will be refunded without...
