Memo's Bakery & Café — Restaurant in Orem

As a first time costumer I was super disappointment with the quality and the costumer service. I ordered a sponge bob themed birthday cake for my son and provided the little character toppers myself, all they gave me was a plain blue all around cake with crumbled cake on top and with my toppers just thrown on top. The cake looked like it was made with absolutely no effort or imagination and was just decorated last minute. The entire cake was just plain blue. When I brought it up to the baker she just told me that that is how they do cakes there “simple and plain” and that I had also not paid for extra decoration. I told her I didn’t care about paying extra but it was supposed to be a kids cake I literally could have decorated the cake myself with the way it looked. I asked her to add more decorations like flowers or something because of how simple it was and she did not want to she just argued that that was how they made the cakes. Super disappointment they did not even try to make it right she just told me to order it somewhere else next time. Definitely never coming back I could have re created the same cake myself and the baker was extremely rude and did not try to work with me as a first time costumer or try to make it right . I usually come here to get bread, but this time I came I notice there was a long hair in one of their sections that have bread. I let one of the cashiers know but it seemed like she didn’t care. My concern is that nothing was done to fix the problem.

Response: I initially was grabbing bread from the north east corner of the store and I put the bread that I grabbed back because I notice a hair. I let the cashier know and she grabbed me the kind of bread that was on the South West corner of the store but she had to get more from the back because they had run out. She did not throw any bread away in front of me. I never saw here go to the North East corner to throw away the bread during my visit.
