So unprofessional, unorganized, and busy.
Tried to set up a post office box and waited in line for 30 minutes. Was told to send my lease information to verify my address. After 4 attempts and returning back to the store a few hours later when it was not so busy with customers trying to drop off packages; I was told that due to my driver's licenses not matching my lease address I could not open a PO box unless I showed her my bank statement, home insurance, or auto insurance policy.
I found that this request was very personal to provide for just renting a PO Box. They already have asked for the full lease. I have rented a PO box from a UPS Store in Salt Lake and was not asked to provide my full lease information. The Salt Lake UPS Store only requested the first page showing the name and address of my current lease. The Orem location they wanted the copy of the full lease and I find that is against privacy. Thinking to myself; "now they want my bank statement....?!" (chuckling inside).
When asking for a manager, I was told I was already speaking with the Manager. So asked for her card and she started to write on a PostIT note with her contact info.
At that point, I realized that if I was this frustrated and delayed so much time already with this store, it would not be a good place to establish my PO Box. Threatened by the extreme personal data Ashley was recommending to provide. She continued to point to a laminated page explaining what was required to provide and on this page, it did not provide the bank statement nor explaining that the Drivers License address must reflect the current address. Since I just recently moved during a pandemic it is the least of my worries to go to the DMV to get a new ID with a new address. Nor did the Salt Lake UPS Store have this rule and regulation to rent a PO Box.
Ashley was more concerned with "getting in trouble" than understanding she is loosing at least a six month rental paid upfront with other publishing needs. To be explained continuously that she would "Get in trouble" to rent if my drivers license doesn't match my rental agreement only fueled the understanding that would may continue to experience juvenile responses rather than professional managerial responses due to the policy is being enforced so that she would not "get in trouble should there be an audit"
I would recommend to the Regional Manager to update your manager on proper professional behavior rather then explaining she would "Get In Trouble" and provide business cards for the manager. I mean you are a...
Read moreAs a growing business owner who does mobile IT support, having a core address for our corporation is essential, and not easy to change. It was fustrating enough they remodeled and got rid of after hours access, then you find they don’t even have a fairly modern payment system to allow autopay for the box itself, but we recently had a disturbing event finding a mail piece that was blatantly opened. It was a smooth knife slice, so it was intentionally reviewed. The attitude was unsettling to say the least. Pure CYA. No attempt to discuss, no attempt to offer ways to report it if in fact it wasn’t them who did it. As a business who could have potential checks shipped from customers, this is uncomfortable the absolute brush off I got from their staff. It’s a federal crime to mess with USPS mail and I get they want to avoid liability, but acting like you care and offering possible methods to report or even talking with the staff and see if there was some explanation outside just shutting me down would have been a much better solution for all of us. They are in the business of shipping and mail. You can’t treat it like a free for all that’s just my problem to deal with when it reached me fully open and obviously searched.
Luckily this wasn’t a check or anything, but it’s just the absolutely zero sense of urgency or concern that was just purely unacceptable....
Read moreI was going to take care of my son’s cat for the summer. My son ordered on Amazon everything from a cat tree to a litter box that looked like furniture, To food and litter and everything a cat could possibly need including toys. Unfortunately, my son’s cat was stung and killed by an Arizona bark scorpion. It was a very sad day and we were all in mourning. I had to go to the UPS store and return all of those items! It all came from completely different online sites, And I thought it was going to be a mess to return everything! Boxes were unopened, And I did not know what went where. Not only were the workers at this UPS store quick, But they were patient. They began asking me what I thought was in a certain box and when I was wrong, they went ahead and figured it all out for me. I thought for sure I was going to hold up the line as people were starting to come in and create a line. But another worker came up to the front and took care of all the people that were waiting in the line. I was off to the side with a worker. He got it all done for me and I can’t tell you how grateful I was that everything was able to be returned. This is a...
