Orion Sushi — Restaurant in Orion Charter Township

I came here with my sister and her boyfriend before I headed back to my place. It's located in a strip mall that has a supermarket and a Hallmark store, so it's a great place to stop for lunch after your errands. Our waitress was very nice and brought out our food quickly.

We all split the tempera shrimp and gyoza for our appetizer. Both were very good! The tempera shrimp was loaded with tempera, which made it very crunchy. The shrimp were good size. The gyoza was flavorful and had a nice crispy layer on one side.

I ordered the Philadelphia sushi roll, which had smoked salmon, imitation crab meat, avocado, cucumber, and cream cheese. I also ordered the Gemini roll, which had imitation crab meat, avocado, and cucumber. On top of the rolls were either tuna, smoked salmon, or red snapper that gave the rolls a cool rainbow effect. The presentation of the rolls were beautiful! Both rolls were very good and were a good portion size. Our waitress told us that for future orders, we can substitute the rice for cucumber for a few dollars extra.

To drink, I had the hot tea, which was very refreshing.

For dessert, we each got the strawberry mochi ice cream. The bowl came in three ice cream balls that were cut into four pieces and topped with whipped cream and a cherry. Yum! Also very good and a nice way to...

This is by far the best sushi that I have had in Oakland County. We have struggled to find a sushi place that we liked after coming from California and Chicago. Orion Sushi is the best quality we have found and so flavorful. The same waitress is always there when we go and I believe she is one of the owners. She is so kind and always smiling. She makes it just that much better. This place has to stay, so please go here so they are around for many years!

Some of our go to rolls are Butterfly, Orion, Milky Way, Sakura, Libra, Snowy Night, Yum Yum.

i love this place, i will be coming back all the time. i got the gyoza, the vegetable tempura, and the chicken cutlet appetizers. i’ve never had these things before (besides gyoza, which i love anyway) but i’ve always wanted to try them. they were all so good!! i can’t wait to try more stuff next time i come in :) also i do not like miso soup in general but the miso soup they served was NOT BAD for me, which i think actually means it is good? the cutlet sauce was so yummy as well! i’m sure i’ll be trying the SUSHI at some point as well, they have a bunch! i’m a little afraid of sushi, but i would love to try it here. thank you for the great experience! everything here...
