Was so excited to try this place as soon as I saw it but some of the food could've been better. Place seemed clean and had a decent amount of tables but I just went in to pick up my order. The girl who helped me was very friendly but again, didn't really have enough time to really have an interaction.
Food had potential but there were definitely some marks missed... But I'd go back and give them another try.
Chicken Pad Thai: great portion for the price, had tgreat flavor but the sauce is on the thicker side. Not sure if peanut butter was used in their recipe but it seemed like it and eating too much of it at once can be overwhelming.
Beef Crispy Noodles: definitely worth the price! Beef was soft and tender, sauce was flavorful, just the right amount of veggies, and the noodles were still crispy (I asked for it to be separate though idk if they do it themselves already). The sauce was a little sweet which isn't a deal breaker but cook may have just gotten a little heavy handed tonight.
Crab Rangoons: delicious but so small!!
Pork Gyoza: no strong feelings.. tastes like gyoza.
Shaking Steak: Salty. I've seen reviews saying this was delicious so I think they just marinated the steak too long because it did look really dark.. but aw man, you can't even eat it without some rice to help alleviate the sodium. We can tell that the flavor was but just couldn't handle the saltiness. There's also more potatoes than there are steak so it's a little disappointing.
Bao Flight (BBQ jackfruit, fried chicken, volcano): ALL DELICIOUS!! Great amount of filling for the price and the baos were all soft and fluffy. If I had to pick 1 of the 3, I'd choose the fried chicken though.
Mango Fruit Slush: artificial mango.. not blended well. It was all separated even when I mixed it, it's still separated. It was okay.....
Read moreTuesday, March 23, 2021 was my first and only visit to this restaurant/Bistro. I went with my husband and daughter, I work in the area and was excited to taste the food due to all the good reviews this place has. Well what A Big Mistake!. The food wasn’t as fresh and delicious as I thought it will be and the customer service was simply unpleasant. My 9 year old daughter order a poke bowl and didn’t like it, nothing was compare with the pictures and freshness they advertised; raw shrimps, can corn, 3 little grapes tomatoes and a rice that even my daughter can cook better, so I went to speak with the staff and have the poke bowl that was barely touched exchange for something also that my daughter could eat, and they just told me that they couldn’t exchange it, after discussing the matter they offer me a discount and implied that I was complaining about the money...what! It is not about the money I’m pretty sure no one with no money can eat at college park...there is something called CUSTOMER SERVICE and CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!. We spent $50 there for 3 drinks and couple bites and you are telling me that you can’t exchange my daughter food for something that she could eat and it’s actually well cooked???. I really don’t know how this place have so many good reviews. I won’t recommend this place to anyone. Also be aware of the Pink Paradise drink, if you are expecting a tropical exotic drink don’t be disappointed...it just taste like simple lemonade. Please I advise you to go to the next door Cuban college park cafe or Eden’s Fresh Co in the front...they are definitely good places to enjoy great fresh food and excellent...
Read moreHey all. I understand that everything I’m about to write is very “first world problems” but I also feel they are easy fixes that aren’t the end of the world.
I placed my order, a large boba slush and two bao. I waited. 15 minutes go past, I’m still fine waiting. It’s a small business and I want to support that, and fresh food takes time to make. I can wait. I hit the 20 minute mark and I’ve seen people who were in line behind me come and go. I notice something that looks like my order, but I don’t want to be a male Karen, so I wait. I hit the 30 minute mark and I have to ask.
Turns out my meal was sitting there the whole time. They forgot to punch in the number on my beeper thing. I’m a little disheartened but I don’t want to say anything because I know how shortstaffed the restaurant industry is right now, so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. I step outside, take a sip of my drink, which they got wrong (it was large with boba and rainbow, and they gave me a small with only boba) and realized the slush has completely melted.
At that point, I turn around and go back in and ask if they’re able to make a new one since it is completely melted. The guy behind the counter said sure, made it for me, and he gave me a regular milk tea instead of a slush. Again, I realize there are bigger problems in the world, but I feel like the ball was dropped a few times.
I suggest being really clear with your order when going in, and observing the counter when they are...
