I don't often get it wrong. I do my research before I go somewhere. For all intent and purposes here, I was slightly disappointed in a few aspects and hence the 3 and 4 stars. I pride myself on usually going after an experience I want to give 5 stars to. This sounded fun. But I missed it by that much! Let's start with the food. I had the Philly cheese steak and the inner ingredients were absolutely delicious! But I couldn't give it 5 stars due to that is not Philly style bread. They used that bread for every sandwich and it should not be used on a cheese steak. It kinda hid the grand flavor within, almost wanting me to gut it and toss the bread because the steak and ingredients part was absolutely flavorful. Then the service...I sat a minute and nobody came to our table as we sat with not even a menu to stare at. Finally a young lady approached and asked if we were helped, we said no. She asked if we were ready and we didn't yet have menus, silverware etc. She walked away like if she was getting them but didn't return. Then a minute later a young man came by and noticed we didn't have menus, brought a few over and asked if we knew what we wanted. How, if I just got the menu?? So a minute later the original gal comes back as if she was going to finally attend to us only to realize the young man jumped in! But she still had no menus!!!Who's area was it??? Who had the table? They seemed confused and out of sorts. The food came out quickly and wasn't bad except for the misplaced bread. Then my beer came out, it was a bit warm. I chose not to complain as I felt a bit annoyed and was better off not getting started. So while I payed for it, I only drank half the beer before it became too warm to tolerate. Lastly, and this was icing on the cake for me. I get the check that says cash is one price and card is another??? Added fees for using a debit card? My debit card is actually my cash directly from my bank account! How do you distinguish a debit from a credit??? Why is a debit treated like a credit card? Why am I paying extra at all??? Overall not the best experience all around but that fee was unreasonable although only 2.50 it was uncalled for! I understand that prices are up. So add it on to the sandwich, don't invent some stupid fee to cover?? Ridiculous because while my groceries are also up, my paycheck does come with a bonus for inflation or added fees. Please, see the error in this especially as prices continue upwards. Nope. Several reasons why I cannot add this to my long list of 5 stars reviews. Normally I just don't give a rating if I don't like something, or give a short one saying stay away. But this place had some potential and I figured I should speak out. But not on my list of...
Read moreGreat place for foodI recently had the pleasure of visiting this fantastic bar and restaurant that combines great vibes, outdoor seating, and a mouthwatering Philly cheesesteak that could rival those found in the heart of Philadelphia. Let me take you on a delightful journey through my experience. First impressions matter, and as I walked into the establishment, I was immediately captivated by the vibrant atmosphere. The place was buzzing with energy, especially during the live sporting events that were displayed on multiple screens throughout the bar. Whether it's football, basketball, or any other game, this place knows how to create an electric ambiance that keeps sports enthusiasts hooked. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the outdoor seating area. It provided a perfect setting to enjoy the beautiful weather while cheering for my favorite team. The well-designed seating arrangement ensured that every seat had a good view of the screens, so I never missed a moment of the game. The attentive and friendly staff also added to the overall positive experience, ensuring that everyone had a great time. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the Philly cheesesteak. As a self-proclaimed cheesesteak connoisseur, I must say that this establishment truly delivers on its promise. The moment I took my first bite, I was transported to the streets of Philadelphia. The perfectly grilled steak, smothered in melted cheese, and tucked into a fresh, fluffy roll, created a tantalizing combination of flavors that left me craving more. It was evident that the chefs here take pride in their craft, as each ingredient was carefully selected and prepared to perfection. While the focus here is understandably on the cheesesteaks and the sports atmosphere, the menu offers a decent variety of other appetizers and dishes to cater to different tastes like the French Onion Soup. Although I primarily indulged in the cheesesteak goodness, I couldn't resist trying some of their tasty sides, such as the crispy tater tots and the creamy mac n cheese, which complemented the overall experience. It's a popular spot, it can get quite busy, which may result in slower service. However, the vibrant ambiance and scrumptious food more than make up for this minor inconvenience. In conclusion, if you're seeking a lively bar with outdoor seating, a spirited sports atmosphere, and the best Philly cheesesteak in Orlando, this place should be on the top of your list. Grab your friends, head over here during game day, and prepare to be treated to an unforgettable experience. Just remember to come hungry and ready to cheer...
Read moreWe felt at home the moment we walked up to their door and were greated with a smile and "welcome in" from one of the male servers. They have a perfectly long list of options of adult beverages and it was a barstaurant kind of night.
We ordered the arancini and tots to get us started. The arancini were a little softer than ones I have had before at other restaurants, but very delicious. The pesto is a nice touch. The tots were as tots should be...CRISPY and hot! They definitely make their own ranch dressing. So a great start to set our expectations. We ordered a half size cheesesteak and half size Italian sub. Both of us are from the Philly area, so we made sure to let them know...lol.
The subs arrived. Both had healthy amounts of meat, but we quickly noted that there were sesame seeds on the rolls. The bartender said they were out of the half size roll so they cut their full size roll to that size. She made no mention about the sesame seeds. I have devoured many a good cheesesteaks over my 50 plus years on this planet. Not once have I had a roll with sesame seeds used on this sub. Its just not a good choice, which is a shame, because the meat and cheese were really good. The Italian was also pretty decent but those sesame seeds just detracted from it. Poppy seeds would be a much better choice over the sesame. Sesame seeds add a nuance of flavor to whatever they are in. The rolls were fresh so I would eat them by themselves, I just didnt care for them in the role they played in the sub.
I would definitely eat here again as they do seem to be about quality and the menu had lots of other items of interest...and the...
