I have been paralyzed since july 8th 2012, got into a car accident back when I was in highschool
to keep weight off in the chair I do my best to eat healthy even if I order out...
today i was running some errands across the street and after I was done I decided I was just going to order tropical smoothie on my phone
instead of having to find parking, then getting out and having to break my wheelchair down, get out, go inside the store to get my order , then come outside and put my wheelchair back in my car
it would save me 20-30 minutes if the store workers were able to bring my order out to me to the handicap spot
the handicap spot in 15 feet from the door
I called in ahead of time to make sure this way okay to do
I was told it was fine by the kind gentlemen who greeted me on the phone - he was very nice
now the next part is kinda insane
ive been doing this same thing at tropical smoothie for almost 10 years , instead of me getting out and getting in my wheelchair to get my order, I just call in before hand to make sure someone can bring my order out to the handicap spot for me because it saves me alot of time and alot of back pain
today this wrinkly 40yr old tatted up so called "manger" comes out and tells me that no one in the store is allowed to bring me my order anymore
I asked her why
she said because its too risky and they dont have insurance
this doesnt make any sense because its not like she has to cross the road to get to me?
she just had to open the door and walk 10ft to the handicap spot?
I am kinda pissed off but more confused
who does this woman think she is? I get that she is upset because she looks like she is 50 and in her 40's and making close to minimum wage
but she cant be taking her anger out on me man lol
I just came to get my order and I called ahead of time to ask if it was okay too!
anyways I guess if someone is disabled , dont ask for help at this location cause your gonna get a rachet women telling you how you should have doordashed your order and paid 2x for...
Read moreVery poor service at this location. Recently went due to receiving reward gift from phone carrier. The team member did not know how to assist me with honoring the reward voucher and then called over the supervisor for assistance. The supervisor had a very apathetic attitude towards the app giving problems and said “well you’re not the only one this has happened to today”. Knowing this information and seeing it happen to others you would think she would still honor the coupon. She just stood there and stared at me blankly after. I asked her if she was still going to honor the voucher because it still had 5 hours left to be redeemed and she blankly stared and me and said “NO”. I was in complete disbelief because one this was coming from the “supervisor” and I did plan to order something else. The customer service was completely horrible and seeing her reaction definitely made me not want to spend one penny at this location. Thankfully, I went to the other nearest location and they gave me the service that a customer is suppose to receive at an establishment. They honored the voucher (even with the app still having problems as it did at this location) and the team member also explained other customers had the same experience with the app at this location also. They continued to treat their customers the right way and I placed the rest of my order! It’s an inconvenience that I had to drive 15 minutes out of my way to another location, but I will definitely do it again to receive better service than I did at this location. Completely unacceptable especially being in Lake Nona! Also, please teach your management team management skills because there’s a lack of that...
Read moreWorst experience with Tropical Smoothie ever at this location. I tried ordering online for the first time and picked it up about 10-15 min later. First, I was not greeted in any way even though there were two employees just chilling behind the counter. Then when I told the girl I ordered online, she said, "it's over there" and quipped her head toward this cubby thing. At first I was confused because I never in a million years would think THAT'S where they would put a cold smoothie to just sit and melt while waiting to be picked up. I had to catch my tongue as I almost just freaked out on her until I realized that she probably had not power in where the orders go after being made. But to the management, this is the WORST idea in the history of hospitality. Never in my 5 years of working in the restaurant industry have I seen food not held at temp until picked up. And the fact that you sell mainly cold smoothies blows. my. mind. I had such high respect for TSC until this experience and you bet I'm never going to order from this location again. Being in a nicer area I expected a lot more than this but even in the ghetto the service and food would be less than 1 star. Additionally, when I went to order online, I wouldn't connect me to my account and then later when I tried on my laptop, it wouldn't let me log in without first...
