Tainos Bakery & Deli (Lake Underhill) — Restaurant in Orlando

Im a regular customer I live next to lake Underhill location, since they started I order mostly breakfast. 2 or 3 years things changed I know the personal most of them, they know me and my husband so I treat them with respect. I mentioned in a nice way that they are not cleaning so ingredients are mixed l, don't eat onions I'm allergic and some days I got diarrhea really bad, they wanted to replace the food free, but I reapetly said no thank you I just want to keep supporting my people I'm Puerto Rican, I live close and I liked from the beginning. So instead of Free food need, THE PERSONAL CLEAN I DON'T WANT TO EAT MY sandwich with onions or other ingredients left from food made before. The supervisor i forgot her name is new she is from Mexico. Said will take care of alert personal in kitchen. Nothing changed. I stopped visiting cause I GOT SICK WHEN HAVE BREAKFAST THERE. MIST OF THE TIME and keep having SANDWICHES like I showed her how dirty it was one time they the girls was surprised. I said no Free just have personal in kitchen aware. I'm not going anymore I said. I didn't today July 12decided to order sandwich only egg and cheese. Had onions had to throw it away. Im sure I can find more people that having sickness like diarrhea and stomach issues. The supervisor is not a person that demonstrate a empathy or care but personal were more concerned in the counter. They saw the sandwich that day. Order by phone or online have no option to take what they received. Ironically those are the ones that pay more for delivery for example. Sad for PUERTO RICAN BUSINESS EVERY TIME THAT A FAMILY OR FRIEND MENTION TAINOS I SUGGEST TO GO TO MELAO NOW. I probably won't sue but I definitely won't recommend so the more location they open doesn't garantee...

I went this past Friday after seeing video upon advertised video on Instagram of the pan con queso. Oh boy, I was excited.

There was a 20 minute wait for my food to arrive once I ordered it. A lot of the reviews mentioned this so I was prepared, but hungry!

The pan con queso looked promising when I got the cheese pull demonstrated in my first photo, but there was an initial concern when there were 2, not one, patties of cheese. Let me explain, 2 patties would generally make me happy but it doesn’t mean you get more cheese.

Two patties means you get double the breading, and worse there is an aftertaste on your tastebuds of the oil that lingers around for a while. It’s more like pan con un poquito de queso y mas pan con el flavor de aceite.

Once my initial bite was over, I noticed even more that the amount of cheese to bread ratio was off. In my second photo it appears to be the thickness of one slice of cheese. I’m trying to give you all the benefit of the doubt. Maybe all of the cheese comes out with that initial cheese pull?

I will go back to try something else, and hopefully I can review again with a higher rating. The pan con queso is a no go for me though. 3 stars because it had potential, but it is highly NOT recommended unless Taino’s wants to give me what is advertised...

The employee at the front counter was extremely rude at multiple times like she just didn’t want to be there.

We asked the cashier for toast. We specified we wanted the round toast with butter on both sides and she argued that they came that way.

Once we got them we got the long square toast and when we told the cashier she got even more rude and upset. She then went and started talking to the cool about what difference did it make if they were round or butter on both sides since they taste the same according to her.

They never called us for the toast we approached the counter 10 min later and she said “ I thought you got them” hen she is the one calling people.

We then got the toast with butter only on one side. The cashier then said why does it matter it’s the same. Which is absurd. Regardless if she may assume that it is the same i ordered like that and offered to oh extra for the butter on both sides.

For the restaurants knowledge and so they may deal with employee it happened on May 18th between 12-1pm.

This is ridiculous we come to this restaurant multiple times a week for breakfast and have never had such a bad experience. We have had another time with a similar issue with the employee getting upset when asked to...
