We are regulars who come every other night to talking tacos for over a year and last night was probably the worst service I have ever experienced my entire life. If you’re overwhelmed with orders and can’t keep up- close online orders, pickup orders, and do your god damn best. Instead they left it open and I was one of the misfortunate people who placed an order expecting it to be ready at the time it stated it would be. We got there 1am expecting it to be finished as it was due to be ready at 12:50am and the parking lot was full, place packed to the brim, and the workers doing more talking then cooking. Not a single worker seemed to have any customer service experience as they seemed to ignore every customer in the place. Any orders they did finish was placed on the counter without confirming it or making any eye contact with guests. It took another customer who had been waiting for an hour at the time to walk up to the pickup area and start calling names for orders. People were standing on tables just trying to see if their order was ready it was truly so unorganized. A scene was made after a worker started an argument with a customer, the worker over escalated the whole situation and the police was called. Around 3 cop cars outside while my boyfriend remained inside. After people were running out my boyfriend managed to speak to the manager where he asked to cancel his order and receive a refund. The manager apologized for the situation; but stated since he was so busy and the place was packed he couldn’t provide a refund as we had made our pickup order online and he couldn’t get to a computer. He promised to remember our order number and refund us as soon as he had control of the situation, and prompted us to leave, by this time it was 2am. Come the morning, and still no refund. Around 1pm today we went back to the restaurant and spoke to a worker about a refund about last night’s situation. We never got our food and our time was wasted. He apologized but said all he could do was take down my name, number, and order number and message the manager, he stated as soon as he texted him it would get done. I asked if there was a number I can take to contact them as the one on google was disconnected, and one of the over hearing workers over the counter, a woman, shook her head no. Again we were left to leave with no solution. It is now 6pm and I still haven’t received a refund or a call or any communication. So now I am left to search the internet for a corporate number to complain. We have been loyal customers for almost 2 years, despite the good food and all other good times, after that service, it makes me never want to come back. Do with that what you must. UPDATE: The owner immediately reached out, apologized, gave a full refund, and Ubered a completely new meal the same night. The food was ok. The Birria Ramen didn't taste like I expected. I think a sturdier noodle would help improve the dish. Loved the Dulce de Leche Churros. The horchata just tastes like the milk from eating cinnamon toast crunch cereal. Unfortunately, afterward I fell ill and thought that too was the fault of the restaurant. However, I later found out that a new topical pain relief medication that I also purchased that day was making me nauseous. So, I only hold this place accountable for the bones, which they assured is a supplier issue, and the supplier has been notified along with the photos. When in Orlando again, will I return to this location? Probably not. I may consider a different location one day, but only time will tell. The owner's quick response is what really pushed my review up to a 3. The staff still needs improvement in regard to paying attention to the food when preparing. Initial Review: We were recommended this place and drove over 30 minutes from our hotel to check it out. It is incredibly cramped. The line to order is right at the front door, and it gets in the way of people trying to pass to exit or eat at their table. The digital menu is easy to order at. We got the loaded Birria nachos, shrimp Burrito, and the Mahi Burrito to-go. By the time we got back to the hotel, the nachos mushy and just ok taste. They were also a bit small for the price. My son liked his shrimp burrito. The 1st bite of the mahi Burrito was OK. 2nd bite cut up the roof of my mouth as I gagged and choked on a long piece of what looks to be a bone. I immediately called the restaurant. I was told to call back after 6pm to speak with the manager. 6:15 I'm told there is NO manager and that was a lie. The restaurant only has a franchise owner and that my name and number would be relayed to him until whenever. Unacceptable. I was also told that the mahi is "boneless". If that is the case, I would love to know what was in my Burrito that surely looks like a long bone and what are the other bone-like pieces that I dug out??? This was a complete waste of money because although my family was able to eat their food, I am sitting here angry writing this review and will have to discard my burrito and now spend more money ordering from somewhere else. The main issue is poor customer service. I got no sense of concern or an apology about my food. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE

We embarked on a Mother-Daughter road trip from Tampa to Orlando for the Copa America soccer game and stumbled upon the gem that is Talkin' Tacos! We were on the hunt for a Halal restaurant that offered something different from the usual Middle Eastern or Indian cuisine we're accustomed to in Tampa, and boy, did we strike gold! On Monday, we enjoyed a delightful late lunch. My daughter savored the Birria Grilled Cheese, and I indulged in the Caribbean Carne. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, bursting with flavors that left us craving more! The horchata was a refreshing and perfect complement to our meal. Our experience was made even more special by Carolina, the sweetest waitress, who shared some fascinating tidbits about the restaurant. We were thrilled to learn that the owner is Moroccan and married to a Bolivian—what a delightful surprise, especially since I am Bolivian too! Talk about a small world! We loved our meal so much that we had to return before leaving Orlando. On Wednesday, we brought my cousin, who recently moved to Orlando, and she was equally impressed. Talkin' Tacos has definitely won our hearts, and we can't wait for our next visit! If you're in Orlando and looking for delicious, Halal-friendly tacos with a twist, this is the place to be—you won't regret it!

I’m honestly not so sure what I loved the most….. from the women that help bring your order out to the men cooking in the kitchen or the owner!! And I haven’t even mentioned the food!!! It’s just crazy because the service doesn’t need to be that great because the food does it’s job and more. I have never had such delicious Mexican food with such flavor and just beauty. Yes beauty!! These tacos are like art and I can’t help but constantly crave them and I’m from Lakeland. We’ve made the drive 3 times in the past week from how much my husband and I loved this place. Now I have to talk more about the service because a place that has amazing food usually wouldn’t care about how they represent themselves but the owner has done such an amazing job keeping these kind, welcoming and caring individuals!!! We were served and asked multiple times if we needed anything AND it’s not even a restaurant!!! The chef I completely forgot his name was soooo kind he came out and made sure our food was good and that there was no problems!! These workers don’t let any bad interaction get in the way of their kindness, the owner NEEDS TO PROTECT THEM AT ALL COST!! Anyways we had ordered nachos and they were taking a bit longer than the tacos to come out (wasn’t that long to us) so the owner was kind enough to let us know and when they came out he brought them over and refunded us for waiting, we absolutely loved the need to please the costumers even when not asked it’s shows understanding and pure kindness!!! I witnessed an incident while sitting there that really warmed my heart. The owner was standing outside with some of the workers talking and laughing. There was a guy that picked up his order and he had drinks in a tray he was holding. As he was trying to open the door the tray of drinks spilled all over the entrance area outside. The owner immediately ran over helped him and brought him back inside and got him refilled. So yes I completely and utterly recommend this place. It feels good going to a place where the food is good, the service is impeccable and if you have any issues they are always there to fix them!!! Great job having such an amazing and welcoming business to everyone! ALSO highly recommend the shrimp tacos and loaded fries those are...
