On Tuesday evening around 7pm, I made a stop at the Edgewater location to grab a smoothie for my friend before visiting her at the hospital. Unfortunately, my experience was farrrr from pleasant. Despite ordering two Bahama Mama smoothies and a chipotle chicken flatbread, I encountered unnecessary hostility when I asked to switch one smoothie to the Mango Magic just moments after paying.
To my disbelief, the employee named Rhonda reacted with aggression, slamming the blender on the counter and storming off loudly. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also deeply concerning. Even the other staff members were taken aback by Rhondas actions. As someone who values respect in all interactions, I was shocked and deeply disappointed by this treatment.
Beyond the disrespectful conduct, I couldn't help but worry about the safety of the food I had ordered. Rhondas outburst left me questioning the integrity of my order, prompting me to throw out the smoothies considering the hostility and aggression Rhonda showed towards me.

Read moreThis place absolutely stunk from the moment I walked in. I waited 10 minutes with no line to be greeted. I was distracted on the phone with work and on a tight schedule, so I assumed it was just the garbage waiting to be taken out. On top of the rancid stench, I waited 25 minutes for a smoothie and a sandwich I didn't eat from the disgust. There were three customers who came in after me who got their orders with multiple people before I got my order. There were a minimum of 4 employees working there who seemed more interested in each other and their social media than the customers. Have you ever heard of cross contamination? Never again. This place is run by high schoolers who I am positive have no idea how to clean a restaurant instead of looking at their phones. I expect a half-hearted reply with a link to complain a second time to the company who should have listend to this and many other bad reviews and took action. Read moreThe lady that assisted me was very helpful. I wanted to get one "Health Nut" smoothie but wanted to change an ingredient. I wanted to get peanut butter instead of almonds. She said: Sure I can make that change for you. My smoothie was ready in a snap. After getting my smoothie I quickly left and started driving on my way to work as I was running late to work. Half way to work at a traffic light, I finally managed to get the straw and take a sip, only to realize my smoothie was way, way too soft. Now, I will not drink a smoothie that is too soft. (To me, this is the same thing as drinking a hot coffee that has been sitting to long and has gotten cold) Anyways, I called the store and spoke to Steve, who quickly took my name and indicated they would gladly remake my smoothie any time. That's why I have given this place a deserved 5 Star rating. Customer service of this kind speaks volumes about a business culture.
