When I think of the Mills50 bar scene, the first place that comes to mind is Wally’s. It’s a great place to stop by on your nightly crawl with friends for a cheap drink. Wally’s does not replace the culture of nightlife in Downtown Orlando, but you can feel satisfied if you’re looking for a more intimate experience.
Cocktails are not always made correctly, unfortunately. A bartender may replace cranberry juice for a sweet grenadine, but it happens everywhere else with a higher price. Come here for an IPA, as it is the spirit drink of the building. If you are a Millennial, you will find your people here. Even if your drink isn’t made with all ingredients, the service will be amazing. The bartenders are always in great spirits and will engage if not busy. It’s a significant compliment given the traffic that comes in and out of the bar.
Be ready for human Tetris because it is a very small space. There is only one stall in the bathroom but the starving artist interior design makes up for it. Darts and flirting for games. Like I said, it’s an intimate bar. Another great add is the outdoor space. Being outside on Mills50 always comes with interesting sights.
It’s a great location for a bar. You can go to Tako Cheena for your alcohol munchies across the street and continue your bar crawl...
Read moreThis place has been around for years and still has photos of Wally himself around even after a huge renovation. It is a nice quaint place to relax with a drink after work and they have a welcoming atmosphere. They have Guinness on draft if that matters as much to you as it does to me! The staff is nice and they are attentive--above average people do make a difference in a place. They usually have good music playing there and it is held at reasonable volume levels so that conversation is not hindered. This contributes to the 'nice' and 'relaxing' statements I mentioned. I have only been there twice, and it was very early evening after work, but I found it to be quite nice. Happy hour drinks are really good prices. It is definitely on my...
Read moreVanessa was extremely unprofessional and extremely rude to my friend and i. Overcharged her 3 extra drinks and made her start a tab when i asked her why she can’t charge her individually after each drink she had no response. She argued with us about how many drinks my friend had wouldn’t listen to us and when we asked for the manager she said “i am the manager sweetie”. Definitely wasn’t the case because when i told them we didn’t get id to the other bartender, Vanessa seemed defensive when the other bartender was madly shocked. My friend still ended up paying for more drinks than she was supposed to. I would love for a real manager to reach out to me because this was...
