Update: My wife was craving Chinese food. She wanted to try, again, November 15, 2022 @ 6:30 pm. The food was warm but on the cooler side. I'm sure it would've been great food but they do not keep their buffet at the required 140 degrees. As soon as we left, we had to make an emergency stop @ a bathroom. Don't know why she likes to come back, she say's they used to have hot tasty food. Hopefully she'll stop coming back after tonight's episode.... Highly Disappointed Wok & Roll.

May, 2022. She wanted try Wok & Roll for the buffet. And crab legs for me. We arrived approximately 6:00 pm on a Sunday night. The place was busy, and we were able to get a table. The food was amazing. This is the best Chinese buffet in Tucson. Loved the crab legs but the kitchen was slow bringing out crab legs. And when they were out, ppl near the buffet were 1st to grab. Later that evening ppl were leaving so there was plenty of crab legs. We live 20 minutes away but it was worth the trip. And we'll be coming back for more

Update. Saturday Sept 3, 2022. It's been 4 months since my last review of Wok & Roll. My wife & I, been coming here occasional during time of the review. There's a gradual change in quality, the food is warm, not as appealing like the beginning. Tonight my wife wanted Chinese food. We came in the front, seeing that it was All You Can Eat Crab Legs, $23.95. We were seated by the Crab Legs section. It was 6:35, we started our 1st plate, there was hardly any left. So waited 20 minutes to finally speak to owner. Told him where are the crab legs? It's been 20 min since the last fill. He tried to tell me, did you have some crab legs? It's only been 5 min. Told him I've been sitting waiting looking out for the next fill. After 5 mins. Crab legs are filled. In another 30 minutes another fill. So, 2 fills per hour. Took picture of the fill. Sitting and watching other people come up to get crab legs and see an empty chafing dish. The sign for the Buffet should say, All You Can Eat Crab Legs if you can wait more than 30 minutes to refill your plate. Wife saw problems in the ladies bathroom and took a picture. Don't know what has happened to the great food 4 months ago. if you can wait over 30 minutes for All You Can Eat Crab Legs this is the place. Note: look at...

Arrived for lunch today (Thursday 09Nov23). Arrived prior to the 11am opening time so l walked around. The smells of the food cooking was noticable in the air. It smelled really good. The exterior of the building doesn't appear to be maintained very well. Litter and abundant weeds seem to be the norm. Sadly it appears as if the exterior grounds are of zero concern to the staff of this establishment as they are clearly neglected. Even though they claim to open at 11am, l stood in the lobby well past 11am when a staff member told me to sit on a nearby bench. A full 10min after opening l finally was seated by staff. My waitress took my drink order, l had asked for water with lemon. While the water was cold and clean tasting when l enquired about the lack of the accompanying requested lemon, l was informed it was on the food serving line. While l observed multiple servers gathering lemons to take to tables, my server seemed to be unwilling or incapable of delivering lemons to my table. The interior of the building including the tables and the buffet line all appeared to be clean and in good working order. The buffet bar was impressive in scope. It appeared to be well stocked with a multitude of fresh inviting trays of tasty food. It smelled beyond heavenly. The best item l enjoyed was the vegetable lo-mein. Very impressive effort even for simple lo-mein. I could have easily kept returning for multiple refills. I'm guessing at some point my server magically disappeared and somehow magically morphed into the hostess, so l soon found myself pawned off to a different server. Overall l was very satisfied with the quality, flavor and freshness of the food served here. While my service wasn't stellar, l never needed or wanted anything. While it certainly wasn't the best Chinese food I've ever eaten, it was certainly good food and given today's economic insanity, l feel it was priced fairly. While I'm personally not remotely into sushi or sushi rolls, the presentation of the numerous sushi selections appeared impressive and visually stunning. I'd gladly eat here again and can easily recommend this...

Definitely never going back. The manager physically blocked me from leaving, entered my personal space, and nearly called 911 on me because I disputed the charge on my receipt. And of course he was generally rude, condescending, insulted my intelligence and was constantly talking over me.

The photos show how the signs were set up. In my mind, the "seafood and sushi buffet" is a different option from the normal pricing structure; nowhere on either sign does it mention "holiday pricing". Of course I thought it was a promo of some kind. Imagine my surprise when I get a receipt for over $25 when I never ate seafood.

So I asked the lady at the counter why I was charged when I didn't eat seafood. She told me it was "holiday pricing". Except that none of the signs indicate that pricing is different on holidays. In fact, the sign clearly states which prices are for which days at certain times. Here's the important part: these prices are still openly advertised! That's my concern. Either hide those prices or add a clause that indicates that prices are subject to change on holidays. None of this information was conveyed before serving me.

I explained this to the lady, and she called her manager. He got immediately angry, started insinuating that I was unintelligent, and yelling at me in the lobby. I explained that I'm simply not paying more than the advertised price, though I'm more than happy to pay what is advertised. That wasn't good enough for him, so he PHYSICALLY BLOCKED ME from leaving, telling me "you can't leave, you're staying here". This is an adult boy who has never had to suffer consequences for his actions.

Also, the orange chicken was unchewable and it took roughly 5 minutes to get service despite it being not that busy. The food is largely decent for for $15 (definitely not $25 lol).

Eventually he told me to pay the $14.95. The guy knows he's hustling.

The manager is absurd and horrible, and I feel for those employees. I'm sure he's such a terrific guy...
