I joined in May of 2025 and to date everything has been going wonderfully. However today I had perhaps one of the most unprofessional interactions I've had wire someone in a customer service position. Two days ago I arrived to a sign indicating the pool was closed. When I inquired about it reopening I was told it wasn't technically closed and we could swim at our own risk which I did. This morning I called a little before 9 am and spoke to Miranda D and asked if the pool was open and if any classes were going on. She told me there was an aqua fit class at 9 but after that it would be open for lap swimming. I arrived around 10:45 and a man was in the pool swimming laps. Right after I got in she entered the pool area and asked me to get out. I asked why and she claimed she didn't like the look of the pool. I told her about the interaction two days ago and asked if we could swim at our own risk or if I had to get out. She replied "Well I'm not going to drag you out." At that point I replied "Okay I'll respect that." And I got out of the pool. I proceeded to walk out a door that had been propped for the past 3 days with a fan that people have been going in and out of. She waited until I got into the doorway and then yelled across the pool "You can't go out that door" at that point I was already out and on the other side. She proceeded to chase after me screaming "What is your name. I will revoke your membership right now. What is your name." I was stunned. I went to the desk to speak to a manager who I knew and I expressed concern that she was confrontational, aggressive and threatening. She denied that yelling at me saying she would revoke my membership was a threat. At no point did I argue with her, raise my voice or otherwise engage with her in a way that could be considered disrespectful. It was such a benign situation that I was truly stunned at the unprofessionalism displayed. I asked for her supervisors name and she provided Alex Luna. She contacted him in my presence to let him know I would reach out. I've attempted to do so and so far I've received no response. I then reached out to James Tyree and have not received a call back either. I am concerned that this level of unprofessionalism was exhibited. And even when attempting to talk to her she could have apologized at that point for her reaction but instead dug her heels in. I think the way she engaged was entirely inappropriate and demonstrates a lack of professionalism and maturity that is required for the position she is fulfilling. If that is how she engaged with customers in a customer service position it is alarming. No one deserves to be yelled at and treated with the level of disrespect I was subjected to when i ultimately willingly complied with exiting the pool through an open door that multiple people had gone in and out of.

Dear LA fitness I’m not sure who’s bright idea it was to stop let your customers enter your establishment one hour before you close, but as a customer who pays to walk thru your doors, this makes me reconsider why I choose your establishment. I often don’t have time to get a workout in and as a result regularly have less than an hour to devote to gym time. Recently that time happened to fall in the last hour of your listed open business hours. I walked up to the door seeing all the people inside, and was greeted with a locked door, and an employee showing me that I was less than 10 min late to the new lock out policy. With this new policy, I don’t feel like you have the customers best interest in mind. Everything in the world seems to be more limited since Covid. I had hoped we were moving in the direction of opening things back up but this seems to be a step in the wrong direction. How about expanded hours, that would be nice. If you continue to squeeze what you can get out of your customers you will find you have less customers to squeeze. If you made your customers happy they might get more of their friends to join. I was considering inviting a friend to join during the Black Friday deal but I’m now reconsidering. So I’m curious, what was your reasoning in shortening to the hours paying customers could walk thru your doors? Seriously curious, sincerely reconsidering

I am new to the area and wanted to try out local gyms so I could get an idea of how busy it would be when I go to the gym and also test out the equipment to see if it is being taken care of or not. Upon entering the gym and asking for a day pass I was greeted by a young man who denied any and all trial periods for the gym and he suggested on touring the gym to which I agreed. After touring the gym he sat me down and started pressing me hard to buy a membership when I haven’t even gotten to try the gym out, which is extremely strange to me. When I asked him again about it he gave me a snide comment on saying: “Have you ever been to a gym before? Its all the same.” and “You don’t ask to try buffet food for free before you buy it, do you?” (To which I thought, well you don’t pay for a year membership for a buffet) but I didn’t want to argue with an 18 year old. After some more combative statements and pressure to buy a membership now, I decided to leave because I didn’t want to be pushed around to buy something without even trying it out first.

I went back to my car and searched online and to my surprise I found a free 4 day trial membership. I went back inside and scanned the QR code and his desk buddy waved me on by. Upon exiting the restroom I was immediately confronted by this young man talking down to me in a very angry voice saying: “This is not how we do stuff around here.” I felt like a dog being talked down to like that, and he escorted me back to the front desk to where he demanded me to sign in again while staring me down.

Apparently his buddy at the front desk forgot to take down my liscense for the trial period, and after entering in my credentials I was all good to go. The gym is pretty nice and I would consider getting a membership, but I do not know if I want to be greeted by some teenager on a powertrip each time walking in. Obviously he hasn’t been trained correctly in sales/customer relations and it shows. I am writing my review now, but I intend on talking to a manager about the matter because I can’t begin to express how disrespected I felt through my encounter with the...
