It was a big mistake switching from my former provider to Banner Health. I've heard some good things about them, but it turned out to be nothing but the opposite. They barely have any doctors left so they book a year in the future, and one of their agents told me that doctors are leaving and they resort to hiring temporary low- quality doctors, one of which I've been unfortunate to visit. The doctor was a temporary fill and she made a mistake on the dosage of one of my medications, which caused unnecessary trouble and stress, since that's what appeared on my chart and because she almost immediately left (or was fired) no one was able to fix the error. I was also way overcharged for a regular annual wellness visit, even taking into consideration the "establishing care" charge (in comparison, my new provider in my former practice, which I am lucky to be back to, charged me less than half for the exact same service). They also forgot to give me the order for a certain test normally included with my regular bloodwork so the lab didn't do it, and I had to make numerous phone calls to them and to the lab asking for that test to be done. So, bottom line: you will wait forever to get an appointment, they will likely make mistakes since they hire poorly qualified temporary doctors, they will likely overcharge, and you are better...
Read moreYou will never see your actual primary care doctor here unless you schedule literally 9 months in advance. I have scheduled my yearly check ups literally a year in advance and 3 years in a row they’ve rescheduled my appointment 4-5 months after the original date. For example, I had my yearly check up scheduled in June, with out even calming me or making me aware, my appointment was rescheduled for November. That is a FIVE month difference and they never even call to tell me it’s been rescheduled. My pcp here is wonderful, but what is the point of having a wonderful doctor you will never get in to see. I also had an emergency appendectomy, I was supposed to see my primary care doctor within a month after the emergency surgery, thd ONLY appointment my primary care doctor had was a virtual visit five months after the surgery. I’m no doctor but what good is a video appointment five months after having at organ removed? Either I will be perfectly fine or Id be long gone from sepsis. Banner is a joke. They only care about making money. Actually patient care is the last thing banner cares about. I’m starting to question what kind of doctor would want to work here… a doctor who also only cares about money? Do yourself a favor and RUN to Tucson medical center. Avoid banner...
Read moreThis doctor refused to learn anything new about my rare condition and was difficult (impossible) to reach, condescending and flippant. He's a menace imo and cares more about his status and ego than his work. This is a deadly metabolic issue I'm facing and he seems to find it amusing to focus on irrelevant details like how I (safely for several years now,) manage pain-something that actually has been more helpful than not, ,(slowing digestion is needed)no thanks to him. That he's a provider at all is and will continue to be is Atrocious in every sense...
