La Costenita — Restaurant in Osage Beach

I cannot even tell you how disappointed I am with this place. After going there between 8 to 10 times over the last 2 years I had probably one of my worst experiences ever on Tuesday night of this week. We had a young hispanic gentleman wait our table who spoke zero and I mean zero English. He could not even take our order in fact on two separate occasions he told us no English no English. Strike that what he actually said was very little English. At one point he even went over and grabbed I think it was the bartender who was in his fifties but he spoke very little English as well because he also screwed up what we asked for which was lemons not limes. I had been bragging about this place to a female friend and I finally brought her and left very embarrassed, never to return again of course. He also never checked back with us for more chips or to refill our drinks again because he just didn't speak English and couldn't communicate with us well enough to...

We have lived here for a year and have been looking for an incredible Mexican restaurant. I lived in Southern California for 8 years before moving here and miss quality food made by people who actually care what it tastes like. Holy god did we find it! We love the chorizo queso and the fajita platter. It’s so unbelievably good! Every piece of meat was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The carnitas are unreal too. They’re supposed to have mole in a few weeks and I cannot wait!

We used to have another favorite place for tacos that’s less than a mile away but their cooks left and their quality went down. I’m glad we branched out because we found la costenita and I’m so glad! Absolutely delish. And we know delish...

Wish I would have taken a picture of my Burrito California today. It was enormous and fabulous. The pork was so tender. The cheese dip covering this masterpiece was also my favorite. There was a side salad with guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo. I took home 3/4 of the Burrito to enjoy another day. The waiter was very friendly and met our needs to the “T”.
