Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Oshkosh

Today was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a fast food place. My partner and I have been here a few times but due to not having the greatest of service and not having the best of food, we decided to stop going. Today, however, we went back and hoped for the best. Let me also preface this by saying I never post or make comments online like this… but today? Be warned. It started when we walked in. One of the workers had been talking on the phone WITH HIS GLOVES ON AND WAS CHEWING ON A FLOSSER AND MOVING IT WITH HIS GLOVES. Next, he hand no idea what the menu was though it was right behind him and denied us both many times about our food orders. A lot of the time he also mumbled and had not a clue what was going on. When we got our drink cups, we went to the machine and there was nothing to get besides maybe a sprite because the machine had been almost completely emptied. Last but not least, the food. This was a horror story in itself, to say the least. We got our food and my meal which was a combo, wasn’t great. Potatoes were hard, biscuit was stiff and the popcorn shrimp was over cooked, smelled terribly and had zero flavor. My boyfriend, however, his meal was entirely messed up.. they refused him the platter which we had gotten many times before but the man now told us it wasn’t possible to get the platter with the meal we had chosen (which was incorrect), his chicken sandwich was not cooked all the way, his sides were messed up and so much more. Needless to say, we will not be coming back and I will not be surprised if others will not return either. Absolutely disgusting. I wouldn’t even give this place a star if I wasn’t forced to.

Overall1/10 or 1/5 stars. Might be one of the worst experiences in a long while.

Dined in at 5:30pm, so fairly busy time regardless, but waited 20 min just to get food. We watched a minimum of 5 couples that came in after us leave. Might be the laziest employees I’ve seen in Oshkosh. Despite customers piled up in the drive thru and inside, never once did they apologize for anyone’s wait, never made an attempt to communicate the wait to those that walked in, maybe the worst manager in the area…as he literally said and did nothing to get the employees to recognize the need to hurry up.

They can see the wait times on the order screens, and yet there was no motivation to speed up. The main cook actually even took a bathroom break in the middle of it all for 5-7 minutes. There was only one white employee and he seemed to have a mild understanding of how to show some expediency.

Our fries were both cold from sitting and bad tasting. The chicken tenders were more breading then chicken. The tables inside weren’t wiped down, dirty windows, the soda fountain had multiple empty flavors.

Trust me, you’re better off going to Chic-fil-A or Kwik Trip for equally good or better fried chicken. We wouldn't be going back unless they found entirely new employees from top down that actually know how to...

Popeyes really needs to step up their game... place an online order... went through the drive-thru for pickup it was agreed by an extremely rude woman who told me just wait a minute and she'd get to me ... waited 5 minutes and asked if she was there.. she said I told you I'll be with you... finally got back to me and said move up to the next window I moved up to the next window and she could not understand how to pronounce my name.. she's talking to a co-worker who was just as dumb I could not understand either.. they finally asked me what I ordered I said I didn't have that order nothing ever came through.. I told him I was funny cuz I had the receipt in my phone and they took the money through PayPal.. then she says could it be under another name? I said no.. my first name is Tom.. oh she says is that like Thomas? I said yes it probably is.. she said well the next time you ask for your order make sure that you say Thomas and not Tom and maybe we'll be able to find your order... what are freaking clown show.. finally got my order.. sadly the chicken was really good but I won't be going back to this one.. oh and by the way somebody might want to tell him to cut their lawn the grass was 16 in high next to the building and the drive-thru.. these people need some serious...
