An excellent little restaurant with a ton of options. For what it is, it's awesome. It looks small, but when you get inside and look at the menu, it blows you away. They have practically everything, and they make it FAST! They have tamales by the order, lengua, chorizo, horchata, beer, desserts, pretty much everything that you could want from a sit down Mexican restaurant available in a convenient fast food format. Best of all, the food tastes great.
The service is great. The team is patient, and willing to answer any questions without seeming annoyed. They keep the place very clean, and they seem like a relatively happy bunch. From the outside looking in, they seem to enjoy where they work, and doing the job.
They have indoor and outdoor seating if you'd like to dine in. They have tables and booths, and then longer "longhouse" style tables and benches for a more communal approach to seating. The outdoor area has couches and comfy chairs, with pillows and some low tables.
Overall, a fantastic experience, far outside the usual taqueria experience in the back of a little store(I love those too!). It's worth the visit, and every penny. ...
Read moreI usually don't write reviews unless a place is REALLY bad. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl with chips and bean dip as the appetizer. The contents in the bowl weren't even warm. The rice stuck together in clumps and only took up about 1/8 of the bowl. The bean dip wasn't even bean dip. It was all queso with streaks of pink in it, so it was pretty much all cheese. They also charged me for extra chips which was annoying, but they did the same to my friend so you can't help but notice that. Her food was cold as well, and the cheese in her quesadilla wasn't even melted. We could still see the shreds of cheese in it. The shrimp on her taco was cold, so she didn't even touch it because we were starting to wonder if this place would give us food poisoning. We went there at a pretty dead time, 4 pm, so how hard is it to take the time to serve your guests hot food? Both of our meals were over $20 but we ended up throwing out the majority of our food. We had to go to another place for food before we headed to our movie because we could hardly eat anything at this place. Save your money and go to Chipotle or Qdoba. Such a waste of money. First and last...
Read moreMy boyfriend loves The Taqueria, I however only think that it is okay. There are other places I'd much rather go to for tacos but the food is good for the most part.
The prices are okay. I feel it's a bit pricey sometimes with the amount of food you get.
The service is interesting and not like other places and I think that throws some people off sometimes. They have menus you can grab and look at and when you're ready to order you order at the checkout. Once you're done ordering you pay and are given a buzzer. I don't think a lot of people are used to this so whenever I go, there are some people that get pretty confused. The workers are all pretty nice and helpful.
It can get a bit loud. They have the TV's up pretty loud but for the most part it's okay but I'd recommend to stay away from any of the seats directly under them. It makes it impossible to converse with anyone or enjoy your food. Whenever I go it's usually pretty busy, which also makes it pretty loud in there.
Overall the restaurant is decent. It's not a favorite of mine but I definitely go there a bit because of...
