What Works
Boldly Delicious Menu Your breakfast burrito with chicken hit the markâsolid, satisfying, and well-executed. But donât stop there: this place goes beyond the usual. With unique creations and a crepe lineup thatâs comprehensive enough to flip your idea of âjust pancakes,â itâs packed with must-try options.
Tech That Serves (Literally) Imagine a breakfast where your server puts in some backupâlike an efficient little robot that helps deliver food. Not only is it useful, but it also adds a futuristic flair that stays fun every time you watch it in action.
Spacious, Accessible, Relaxed Huge win for accessibilityârooms to roam around without bumping into someone every five seconds. Booths feel roomy and welcoming, and wide walking paths practically demand you bring grandma or a stroller.
Decor with Personality While the dĂ©cor is largely functional, the light fixtures are head-turners in a good wayâkinda like âsubtle glam.â They inject a touch of flair without screaming "trendy."

Read moreMy partner and I stopped in for breakfast recently, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The hostess was curt and unwelcoming, setting the tone for the rest of the visit.
Once seated, service was very slow and inattentive. When our food finally arrived, it was lukewarm. I ordered the âClassic Eggs Benedict,â which, to my surprise, was made with pork loin instead of the traditional Canadian bacon or ham. While I later noticed this was listed in the description, labeling it âclassicâ feels misleading â the pork was thick, dry, and fatty, and it didnât resemble a true Benedict.
When I mentioned my disappointment, the server became defensive. I had to specifically request that the item be removed from our bill, and she responded with clear irritation and only a half-hearted apology. Although it was eventually taken off, the interaction left a poor impression and overshadowed the rest of the meal.
Overall, Golden Nest seems to focus on making the menu sound upscale rather than nailing the basics â hot food, friendly service, and accurate descriptions. Between the misleading labeling, lukewarm dishes, and unprofessional attitude, I canât recommend this restaurant. There are many other local breakfast spots in Oshkosh that offer far better food and...
Read moreCame on a busy Sunday with party of six, wait time was about 20minutes, definitely reasonable. Our server was very nice and amiable, she did forget my side orderâŠbut when the meal arrived it turned out to be a lucky thing because I wouldâve had way too much food, so it worked out positively. And she did offer to run back and get my side asap if I had wanted it. Very nicely appointed interior. Our first grader really had fun watching the server robot wheel around bringing food out to different tables.
Food portions were very good. Got the pancake flight, I chose: cinnamon roll pancake, lemon-berry pancake, strawberry cheesecake pancake. The cinnamon roll was unreal. Strawberry was good. The lemon-berry was ok. The omelettes looked great. The mimosa flight was very good. As was the Bloody Mary flight.
My only reservation: the prices are higher than say a breakfast diner, for example. The food was good and was worth the price, albeit at the higher end of a price range Iâd deem realistic for breakfast meal. Slipping the drinks would definitely have helped reduce the final bill.
All in all definitely...
