I went to this Teriyaki Madness while in town visiting family the other week. My first night in town I arrived alone at night and decided I would just feed myself. We have a Teriyaki Madness back home in Overland Park, KS (over by Kansas City) and I LOVE it, so when I heard y’all have one in Oshkosh I was excited! I ordered fine, but while I was waiting for my food, I noticed the staff were snickering and chuckling. My phone had unfortunately died by the time I was waiting for food so I didn’t have much else to do besides listen to what was going on. I figured out the staff was making fun of a gentlemen eating at one of the other tables because he was balding. So rude!!! They also kept snickering and joking about someone else. I’m not sure who in the store it was, but they kept saying the name Nate. He might have been another worker but I never could figure those comments out. After what felt like ages (somewhere between 20-30 minutes), I finally got my food. Compared to what I was used to in Kansas, I was very disappointed. My rice was so overcooked and mushy! I was very upset about the rice as it’s my favorite part of the meal. However when I checked my chicken, things only got worse. It was cold… I had just gotten my meal and it was already cold! That to me means my meat wasn’t fully cooked/prepared correctly, and considering I ordered chicken that was scary. I’m not sure if this place pre-cooks and freezes their chicken to reuse or if they use fresh chicken. If it’s fresh chicken, I could’ve gotten sick eating that… I decided to just throw it out and find something else to eat that night. I was so disappointed, it’s amazing back home. I guess Wisconsin isn’t the place to get...
Read moreHonestly, not great in my opinion. You advertise saying your steamed vegetable was seasoned. It was bland and a pinch of salt would have been fine. Your fried rice was mushy and not fried long enough and it just tasted like soy sauce. Chicken was dry, wouldn't have that problem with dark meat. I saw someone posted that they got dark meat but why have two cuts of meat when obviously one is better suited for this type of dish and the spicy chicken teriyaki wasn't spicy addictive. No spice to it what so ever that my 1 year old daughter could eat it and that's literally for real! That sriracha sauce isn't anything special, that's all you could taste and it's just too over powering that its gross. Unless I put in the teriyaki sauce which was good but it again wasn't spicy at all and just became dry teriyaki chicken. Plus why is the sauce on the side? It should be incorporated into the dish. I get that people may or may not want it in but you're talking about teriyaki chicken there for it must go in and not set onto the side. Pretty dumb if you ask me cause I have to finish putting my meal together. Crab rangoon was small and not filled enough. I got one that was literally empty inside plus it was almost 6 dollars for 4 small pieces. Everything was so over priced for the lack of taste and disappointing. Sadly to say I won't be coming back because Sarku Japan is not only faster but taste and everything...
Read moreUnfortunately this is the 2nd time I’ve had a negative experience at this establishment and I don’t think I’ll be back. My and my colleague were there earlier today and no one was waiting in line besides a couple who was finishing their order. Based on a previous experience we asked right away if their was a wait or an extended time for getting food as we were in a hurry with our lunch period and needed to be back. The cashier asked someone on the line and they said it should not be an issue. 30 minutes later we finally received our food, after a couple people who ordered AFTER us and a large online order that was processed either during or right before we ordered. I checked in to ask where the status of our food was and was met with nothing but negativity from the line cook who simply said “I never said that” when I’m sorry, you did. I understand this place can be busy and I understand these online orders come through, but shouldn’t a dine order for two take precedence over the online order? Especially when we politely asked how long it would take? The food is not worth this 2nd negative experience but I just want everyone to know, if you’re going to Teriyaki Madness carve out a good hour for lunch for your chicken and...
