Giordano's — Restaurant in Oswego Township

Was very disappointed with this location. Me and my wife came here to eat lunch since, I was craving it after being out of town for nearly 2 years. One of my top 5 spots for pizza. The pizza was on point, but there is no way it should have taken 50 minutes for our THIN crust pizza to come out of the oven from the time we ordered it. This is not the only thing that ruined our experience at this location. It started of with us walking in and waiting to be seated. We saw open seats everywhere so we thought, "oh good it's not too crowded, people must be back to work after the holidays", but when we got escorted to our seats they sat us down in between two tables that already had a group of people sitting on either side of us. We thought this was weird, but as more people came in they kept filling this little section of the restaurant in and we were all packed like sardines! I could hear everyone's juicy gossip going on all around us, and they were whispering!!! I could not only hear them, but also smell what they were eating! To me the smell of BBQ wings doesn't go well with my pizza. The problem that we had was that when the group next to us left, their left overs and dirty dishes didn't! So while we were still waiting for our food and for the remaining time we were there, their dirty dishes and left over food stayed at their tables, without anyone clearing them off. They seemed to be undermanned since I believe they only had one waitress at the time, and one person sitting people down, which she could be easily clearing the tables seeing the poor waitress was busy. Which to be fair, our waitress still kept her cool, was nice, and offered us free wings after the first 30 minutes of us waiting. We will be hesitant to dine at this...

Severely Disappointed - Quality Has Plummeted

My family and I have been loyal Giordano’s customers for years, and this Oswego location used to be our go-to spot. Unfortunately, something has gone seriously wrong over the past 6-8 months, and I’m not sure we’ll be returning anytime soon.

We’ve ordered a ton deep dish pizzas from this location during this period, and it’s a crap shoot if you’re gonna get a good one or a bad one. Today’s pizza was the final straw, as you can see burnt bacon scattered on top (shouldn’t it be inside the deep dish?) , a soggy, wet interior that clearly wasn’t cooked long enough, and a completely wet undercarriage. The dough was still soft and unfinished. You can see the pool of liquid/grease in the picture.

For pizzas that cost $30-50 each, this is absolutely unacceptable, especially in today’s economy, and receiving this quality is genuinely disheartening.

I suspect there’s been a change in ownership or management because the decline in quality has been dramatic and consistent. It’s particularly frustrating because we know Giordano’s can make excellent pizza - the city locations still deliver the quality we expect.

Until this location gets back to its former standards, we’ll have to drive to Chicago for our Giordano’s fix. Such a shame to see a once-reliable favorite fall so far.

Would not recommend this location until they address these serious quality...

The food here is really great! I really love their menu and I am really amazed with their incredible pizza. It is so thin, cheesy, tasty, full of toppings, and the crust is really great. Their pizza is really way better than other pizza around the area. This place has the best signature deep dish pizza in the whole area of Oswego. If you are here in this area you must really visit this place and give their food a try. The menu here is really great. The rest of their offers was excellent. They also have pasta, appetizers, desserts, side dishes, and others. You will absolutely enjoy this place as well as their deals. I recommend to go and visit here earlier to avoid long lines and also when the time that the place is really crowded. Giordano’s is really one of my favorite places to eat and visit at this area. They are really great and even in terms of accommodating the customers. All of them are really nice and decent. They all know how to properly talk to the customers.
