I'm not sure why this place has rave reviews unfortunately. I had 4 tacos when I went here last. I ordered 1 chicken, two carne asada, and one pastor. What I was given felt unoriginal, and not complex, and barely homemade, let alone restaurant quality. Was everything edible, yes. The chicken was bland and underseasoned, the steak was tough, and underseasoned. The only thing I could give a solid would eat again, was the pastor. I wouldn't come here for anything else.
The salsa they served with chips was okay, not the best. The chips felt outsourced and not in house made. I expected to get red and green sauce as usual to add onto the tacos with the meal, but they didn't have any in house sauces which was incredibly dissappointing. All in all, I could have had a better meal at taco Bell unfortunately, which really spells poorly for me personally.
Waitress was nice, everything was prompt and clean, just simply the food was...
Read moreWow… the atmosphere really throws you for a loop for what you are in for. The service was questionably okay. Got the burrito that apparently came with nacho cheese? I figured it was queso but it was literally the same kind of plastic cheese that you get when you order nachos at a ball park and it was not good. As I am eating, my girlfriend noticed it was pink on the inside of the chicken and luckily I stopped there because I came home and IMMEDIATELY threw up what I had. My girlfriend got the beef enchiladas and has an upset stomach as well. Additionally, they tried charging us a “side salad” when my girlfriend asked to put the salad/diced tomato’s off to the side. After I explained (before receiving the salad) that she meant all condiments to the side and not a side salad, they told me they were not going to be able to take it off. After some time it did come off but still. Overall, very sad to be writing my...
Read moreThis used to be one of my favorite spots for Mexican. If this last visit had been my first, though, I probably wouldn't return, though.
Our waitress took our drink order. Then she came back a couple minutes later and asked for it again. Okay, no biggie. We got our drinks. They were good, though I didn't taste alcohol in mine. We ordered a burrito special and a taco dinner. Neither my husband or I got anything except the burrito and two tacos. No rice. No beans. No nothing! I even asked the waitress if we could get some rice at least, and we never got it. We never got water, either. And my husband's second drink didn't arrive until well after we were done eating.
To give some perspective, there were only about half dozen tables of people. It wasn't busy. No one was at the bar. And there were at least three waitresses working that I saw. So, there's no excuse.
Just sad because I always loved...
