This was the highlight of downtown Ottawa! We are visiting from out of town at the little cabins and needed some breakfast pastries. We ended up getting a good assortment. Are it so quickly that I forgot to take pictures. The cherry almond scone was my favorite. It was moist and had huge cherry chunks. The oatmeal Whoopi pie was also delicious! It was a family favorite. The cream inside tasted like pumpkin. The oatmeal cookie on the outside was chewy and soft in the middle and crispier on the edges. The cookies were gobbled up by the kids. The Apple fritter was okay (per my husband, he said too sweet). The cinnamon bun was recommended by the cabin and also good. The staff was so sweet and even gave bubbles for the kids! Cute sitting area outside too.

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting this little gem on our travels from Kansas City. The warm hospitality and cheer from staff and customers was a delight. Every local coming through the door was greeted by name and friendly banter ensued. This is the Cheers of bakeries, and the only thing better than the atmosphere is the AMAZING from-scratch pastries. The bear claw. GET. IT. 👏🏻👏🏻 So crazy good! The sausage+egg+cheese croissant was flaky and buttery and scrumptious. The quiche was perfection in every bite. So glad we stopped here… you should do the same!

I would have preferred to be giving a 5 star review as that was our experience last October for Birthday Cakes. However, we wanted the same exact order and what we got was extremely disappointing. The cakes were way smaller with frosting and zero decorations. It was to say congratulations and a name was to be written. It was blank. The other cake was to be a strawberry topped cheese cake. We received another small strawberry cake with zero decorations. I had to go return to the bakery in the middle of a surprise event preparations with the promise of purchasing a cheese cake at 50% off. I was charged $26 dollars for that cheese cake and if that was at 50% off would that mean that junk cake cost $52 dollars? Again not what we wanted or received last year....This cheese cake was served at the party frozen near impossible to cut. Our Party of 26 were all disappointed in the cakes. Our Party received the left overs or unwanted cakes or so it seemed. We were told by the owner to be more specific when we order??? 150 dollars in cakes, blame game and rudeness treatment took our family from delight to never again sadly. In response to my cost. I have receipts, 1st trip cost $121.31 2nd trip $26.75 total...

Really close to Starved Rock State Park, something to look forward to when doing a day trip out there. I was not expecting a small town could have an amazing bakery like Ottawa Bakery. Staff were very attentive to my order, as they were patience in explaining what's popular, and what they would recommend.

I almost ordered one of everything because I was starving. And boy, I did not regret my decision. The pastry overall wasn't too sweet at all. I picked up the blueberry muffin, raspberry bar, the cookie, the turnover, the almond claw. And boy, I did not disappoint a bit. And yes, I would...
