GYST. Online order still not ready an HOUR later. It was just a dozen donuts, nothing fancy.
They have a sign on the drive through that says something like âbe kind to the people who DID show upâ, so already we know weâre dealing with a franchise owner who isnât paying market rates for labor.
App says to go through the drive-through, so I go through the drive-through. They tell me to pull forward into the curbside pickup.
I wait 20 minutes and watch at least 15 people go through the drive-through and even more go in and out to the dining room.
I called, twice, but no one answers. I canât go in because I have a dog in the car with me. I did leave a message.
So I go back through the drive-through, wait another 10 minutes and get to the window and then they say there is no record of my order.
I showed them my bank record that shows I was charged over an hour ago. They take down my order and tell me to again pull forward. I refused to pull ahead. If they were that busy, I wanted them to have time to process my order instead of piling on the work.
Sounds like a lot of other people are having similar issues. Iâm a business owner as well. Itâs one thing to blame the pandemic labor shortage, and itâs another thing to pay market rate for labor and do appropriate surge capacity planning.

However this was the second time I was given meat on a sandwich when I specified no meat and I will no longer be coming here from this point forward. I am a vegetarian. The first time I asked for egg and cheese on a croissant and it had meat, I returned and got a new one. However his second time I asked for a plain bagel with plain cream cheese...and what I bit into was an egg and meat bagel. Iâm baffled as to how you make that kind of mistake. The man brought it to me from behind the counter and asked me if I wanted crème. I thought he meant whip crème. I said yes he took it back and I went to my car and opened my coffee and no whip cream. Ok maybe I am mistaken and they do not put whip crème on it. So I went off to Target to shop with my coffee 3/4 they way through my coffe I took a drink and got a mouthful of coffee grounds. Thank goodness I had a napkin in my coat pocket because I spit it all out. Sorry Target for getting some on the floor. I called the store to talk to manager and they had no manager on duty.
