We arrived for breakfast, and a blonde waitress seated us. Before we even had a chance to pick up the menu, she asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for a few minutes to look at the menu, and she gave us an unpleasant look before walking away.
Later, we ordered three dishes and three drinks. Our food was served, and about seven minutes later, the same waitress came back to our table with the check—despite the fact that we hadn’t finished eating and definitely hadn’t asked for it. We told her we hadn’t requested the bill, hadn’t finished our meal, and were planning to order dessert. Again, we got the same unpleasant look before she walked away.
When she returned, we asked if they had toothpicks, and she replied with a rude “No.” We also asked if there was a separate dessert menu apart from what was already listed. She answered curtly, and we told her we would like to look at the menu and decide. She walked away again with the same rude expression, and seconds later, another waitress approached us and said she would be taking over our table.
We mentioned that the first waitress was very rude. We ordered desserts, ate, and were about to leave when—once again—we received the bill before even asking for it. Meanwhile, the blonde waitress started sweeping the floor around us with an angry and unpleasant expression.
Overall, it was a terrible experience, and we will never return to this place.
Beyond that, the portions were tiny. I ordered avocado toast and received a single slice of bread cut in half with avocado. I asked for tomatoes and cheese to be added, and instead, they served them on the side. The eggs Benedict came on an absurdly small piece of bread.
Terrible service, small portions, and overpriced dishes. Of course, we didn’t leave a tip. My advice—if you’re Jewish, avoid this place. They’re probably antisemitic and just want to ruin your...
Read moreFirst Watch is not the first restaurant I would normally choose for a Sunday brunch. Mainly, because I'm cheap. But it was Mother's Day and I wanted to make the day special for my wife.
I figured we'd have to wait at least 30 minutes to get in. But I learned a lesson that day. We chose to go without our kids as they are in their twenties and don't live with us. We didn't have to wait at all because there were plenty of tables for two. I would not expect this every time as it is a very popular restaurant.
My wife really wanted French toast. She tried a version that came with lavender flavored butter and blueberries. It was pretty amazing. I tried a few bites with no syrup and just the lavender butter and it was just the right blend of sweet.
I had breakfast tacos. They were exactly what I was hoping for coming with just enough spice that I didn't need salsa.
The best thing that we had was the million dollar bacon. The bacon was bendy but seasoned with both sweetness and a peppery spice that made our taste buds work overtime. My suggestion is to take small bites and keep it in your mouth as long as possible to get the full experience.
To sum up. Regardless of the price, today's experience was...
Read moreMy daughter and I go here just about once or twice a month to have a fun mommy daughter breakfast. We usually have really good service except today was pretty disappointing. I saw my server a collection of four times. The first time was to take my order and second time was to bring me water and coffee. The third time was about 30 to 40 minutes later when she was giving me an update after walking past me several times without checking, resulting in me having to switch my dine-in order to a to-go order. The fourth time was to give me my bag of food and give me my receipt.
It was pretty busy so there was a backup, which I get. However, I saw several tables receive their food before our table and they arrived after me. 40 minutes for pancakes and eggs. Then when I order something else to go, everything is magically ready.
I’m honestly pretty convinced that our server forgot about us and didn’t put our order in until the end. I was pretty bummed because some of that food was for my daughter as well, but luckily, I had some back up in...
