Kolache Factory — Restaurant in Overland Park

Came in only a few minutes before closing and bought up the last of the sausage and cheese and then a variety of others. I tried the Kolache of the Month which was Turkey and Dressing. It was the best of all the ones I bought! Surprised me and my wife with how delicious it was! Warning for those who buy the sausage, cheese, and jalapeno... It's good, but has way too much chopped jalapeno. Like almost a whole jalapeno in it. My wife and I are from Texas, and very near to New Braunfels where Kolaches are almost a religious item. My wife is from German and Czech parents, so Kolaches are in her blood. But the jalapeno in this Kolache is just overpowering. When I ate the second one, I had to do surgery first and remove most of the chopped jalapeno to make it edible! Overall, the Kolaches were very good, but Texas has much better ones (there's lists you can Google for best Kolache shops in Texas). And, for the purists, Kolaches have no meat in them. The proper name for a Kolache that has meat is a klobasniky. But I guess Klobasniky Factory doesn't...

Apparently they were out of cheese Wednesday. Stopped and grabbed ham and cheese and pizza. Both packed full of meat and zero cheese! Glad they didn't have Philly Cheese when I was there. I'm sure at this point it wouldn't of had cheese either. If you are out of cheese just tell us so we know what we are getting. Totally unacceptable

Update! I included a picture and owner states white cheese (because I don't know what cheese looks like or taste like) blends in with the meat! Clearly the Kolache in the picture does not have cheese in it and ofcourse it was warmed up as I was eating it. So now I will not be returning to this location as the owner treats their customers as idiots when a picture was included. Can't accept doing wrong and fixing it! Didn't want anything but for a place too make sure they don't make the mistake again. Don't do business here as apparently they treat their customers like this! Read their response and look at photo! Sad thing because they use to care about their products...

Disappointing Experience with Salty Kolaches and Poor Customer Service

As a loyal customer for many years, Kolache Factory has always been my go-to for breakfast, whether hosting guests from out of town or enjoying a meal at home. However, my recent visit left me disappointed. I had a friend visiting from out of town, and we decided to grab breakfast there before heading to the airport. Unfortunately, the kolaches we ordered were excessively salty. My friend couldn't eat his breakfast, and we both left feeling dissatisfied.

My pregnant wife, who loves kolaches, also tried them and found them too salty as well. Upon returning from the airport about an hour later, I contacted the store to inform them of the issue. The team responded by saying there was nothing they could do and that the recipe had not changed. This contradicted my numerous previous visits where the food was never overly salty. This experience made me feel that the store does not value customer...
