Starbucks — Restaurant in Overland Park

I have hesitated to write this review for over a month now. I continue to frequent this location thinking that the last experience was just a fluke. Today I was watching the frustrated mobile app customers that were all waiting on their order. The male barista had 0 sense of urgency or concern that one lady had been standing there for 20 minutes and then told her that they did not have her order. She kindly pointed to the sticker that was posted on the counter and said "there is is, it says Mary". He then fixed 2 other orders before he got to hers. Meanwhile, I did not get my order for another 10 minutes. When I asked about my order, he was condescending and then proceeded to make 2 more orders before he got to mine. Terrible customer service skills from the same barista for over a month....

I try for my reviews to be as positive as possible. The drinks, baristas, location are all fantastic. Tons of seating indoors and decent outdoor space.

My Cortados have always been crafted well and taste great....same for lattes/etc.

My only complaint here is the flies on the food. This is not the first (or only) location where I have been turned off from ordering a chocolate Kwaaasuaaaannn orrr cake pops for the kids because of the food flies and house flies in the food case. Surely there is something corporate orrr locations can do better. I understand at times they get food from a different container, but still, kills the appetite.

In summary, I'd still go back here for my coffee. Perhaps only for that.

Waited for a least three minutes just for my order to be taken with two girls behind the counter and only one drink being made. When the girl finally came over to take my order she didn’t even acknowledge me, just stood behind the register. (I was the only one waiting and they were not busy at all) So when I finally acknowledge her by simply saying hi she looked up at me and responded with a very snarky “hi” back. I did not even place my order but instead took my business to the Starbucks full Starbucks just outside this Target location. I understand everyone has bad days.. but if you’re choosing to work in a public facing environment, you’ve got to be able to at least acknowledge your customers. Probably won’t be visiting this...
