If you're on the hunt for authentic and delicious Indian food in the Kansas City area, look no further than Kushi in Overland Park. My recent visit was an absolute delight from start to finish.
I decided to try their Non-Vegetarian Combo, and it was a perfect choice for getting a taste of their offerings. The plate arrived with a beautiful assortment of flavors: incredibly tender and aromatic chicken curry, light and perfectly puffed poori bread, the explosively flavorful and slightly spicy Chicken 65, and a cool, refreshing raitha to balance it all out. Each component was fresh, expertly spiced, and clearly made with care. The tastes were authentic, robust, and deeply satisfying.
Beyond the fantastic food, what truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional service. The lady (Siri) at the counter was wonderfully courteous and took the time to explain their extensive menu. She talked me through their variety of dishes, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and was happy to share their best-selling items. Her knowledge and passion for the food were evident and very helpful.
Despite the restaurant not being a fast-food joint, the service was remarkably efficient. My hot, freshly prepared food was ready and handed to me in under seven minutes, which was perfect for a quick yet high-quality lunch.
Overall, Kushi is a five-star establishment. With a huge menu full of varied options for every preference, incredible food, and service that makes you feel welcome, it’s a restaurant I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. I will definitely be returning to explore more of their...
Read moreHello Khushi, Indian restaurant!
During our visit, finding you as a little bit of pain for us because you were hidden .
This restaurant is very small, but it’s very cute. I wish they could maintain little more cleanliness.
We went inside and got a chance to see Rose milk and mango lassi you are so thirsty and the time, but we still waited for a couple more minutes and we ordered Food 🥘
Well, the interesting thing is they do have their touchpad interface to order the food like how you ordering McDonald’s it’s a very nice innovation and it feels so good that the small Khushi Indian restaurant is also innovative in ordering food.
There is a study by McDonald’s that after installing their touchpad to order food, their sales went up hopefully Kushi’s Indian restaurant sales also will improve.
Talking about the food it was very decent enough
We ordered
— Butter Naan 🫓
— Garlic Naan 🫓
— Bullet Naan 🫓
— Chettinad Vegetarian Curry 🍛
— Rose Milk 🥛
They have taken a couple of minutes to get our order done and they handover me very nicely and the food was so hot.
After tasting it Naan is not that much great, even the curry too okish.
Soon we will try non veg, and will update the ratings.
Feedback for restaurants
— oh well make sure the tables the floor everything is so clean.

— spicy levels I think mild is more spicy 🌶️ I want you to check with your customer and then follow.
Thank you so much 😊

Read moreOverall decent value for money.
It was my first time here and I ordered chicken 65 which was overall decent, could have used a little bit more “tangy” flavors to balance out the spice level I had ordered but this is more room for improvement than complaining. When you provide spice levels, you should also account for keeping the flavor balance right with the selected spice level.
I had also ordered a couple of masala dosas. The actual dosa was well done, good texture. The masala could have used a bit more love when it came to making it a bit more flavorful. I realize dosa isn’t supposed to be the most glamorous dish but the potatoes were a bit under seasoned and so was the sambhar. Also the flavor profile of the chutney was a bit confusing. Also, the two different bowls of chutney seemed almost the same (unless they were), I was expecting maybe the coconut chutney and peanut chutney to be there and be distinguishable.
I also got mango lassi which wasn’t overly sweet which I appreciate. It tasted “home made” without...
