Only my second visit ever to any Whataburger, first time to this location. I would actually rate it a 3.5 stars if possible. I was there middle of afternoon (2:00ish) on a Wednesday. Was immediately greeted when walking in. The gentleman working the counter (I believe Travis??) was helping a guest. He was very polite and helpful and well above the normal in providing customer service. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger combo/meal. I always order custom as I don’t care for mustard or pickles. Travis was great about explaining what comes on sandwich while also listening to my preferences. He then made me aware I didn’t have to automatically have fries (I did get) and of course a drink. When walking away I went to the drink station which was clean and stocked. I then went to the dining area which was also clean, Travis was telling guests due to the excessively warm day to sit in a particular area due to the sun beating down in some areas making it warm to sit. The wait from my meal to come wasn’t long especially knowing my order is being cooked to order. My fries were warm to hot but not “right out of fryer” hot. They were still very within what I assume are specs coming from a restaurant background. The burger I was presently surprised (previous visit didn’t get a burger) as it was larger than most fast food burgers. It was fresh and hot. However, it was not made correctly at all. I took my burger to the front counter, Travis was helping a guest but I was seen by another employee, possibly shift leader or manager. He quickly took care of my issue clarifying what my burger was supposed to be and got it working. Once Travis was finished with guest he did come over and apologize asking if he didn’t do my order right, it was rang up correctly just not made correctly. Once the new burger was made it was brought out to me, Travis asked if I would also like my fries replaced since my burger was just coming out again. He then brought me replacement fries and those were fresh from the fryer hot. The fries are shoestring cut fries and wonderful, again the burger is bigger than most fast food. It was made to my request as far as toppings/condiments. Overall it was great, my only complaint while it has plenty of bacon unlike most fast food burgers it was not spread over entire burger. The bacon was over approximately 2/3 of burger. Had it been spread out it was enough to cover 100% of the burger. As I walk out was thanked and was a very “welcoming” hello and goodbye so great customer service. It is well worth the money compared to most other places no matter sit down or fast food. (yes all places prices these days are way to high). I just truly find it hard to rate fast food a 5. The service was well worth a 5. Yes a mistake was made, it can happen but it was corrected, no blame was made and everyone was pleasant. Quality was good,...
Read moreI recently visited Restaurant for a meal, and unfortunately, I had a rather disappointing experience. I feel compelled to share my feedback to bring attention to some concerning issues that I encountered during my visit.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, my party and I were excited to enjoy a meal. However, our dining experience took a negative turn when we encountered a problem with the ordering system. Another customer interrupted our cashier to inform him that the pop machine was not functioning properly. Understandably, the cashier had to attend to the issue, leaving us waiting without any further assistance. When he eventually returned, he provided us with the total amount due but failed to provide a receipt.
To our dismay, when our order arrived, it was completely incorrect. It appeared that a mix-up or accident had occurred in the kitchen, leading to our dissatisfaction. Adding to our frustration, a lady that worked there I think her name was Lu presumably a staff member, approached our table without any prior inquiry and made a comment suggesting that if we couldn't speak English, someone who spoke Spanish should have been brought in to assist us. This assumption about our language proficiency was not only uncalled for but also offensive. We were born and raised in this country, making the comment particularly hurtful.
To address the issue, we approached the manager to explain what had transpired. However, instead of offering a sincere apology or attempting to rectify the situation, the manager simply directed us to check our receipt. We reiterated that we were not provided with a receipt in the first place, as the cashier had walked away to assist the aforementioned lady. It was disheartening to witness such dismissive behavior from a manager towards customers who were genuinely seeking resolution.
In an attempt to escalate our concerns, I made a call to the restaurant to request the corporate contact information. To my surprise, the person who answered the phone seemed unaware of the corporate number, which further highlights a lack of training and organization within the establishment.
I write this review with the hope that it will bring attention to the issues I encountered during my visit to Restaurant .The poor service, lack of communication, and offensive remark made by a staff member greatly impacted our dining experience. It is my belief that all customers should be treated with respect and professionalism, regardless of their language abilities or any other factor.
I sincerely hope that the management of Restaurant addresses these concerns promptly and takes the necessary steps to improve their service, communication, and overall customer experience. As a potential patron, I would appreciate knowing that my feedback is valued and that measures are being taken to prevent such incidents from...
Read moreI would give this particular fast food restaurant zero stars, but you know I can't. After dropping a relative off at the airport and hitting 888 market, we decided to stop at this Whataburger. I haven't eaten inside one since I lived I Texas 6 years ago. The worst decisions of the day. We walked in. The eldery lady working the register was very slow and made ordering complicated. Especially when she made comments about what you were ordering. Ordered chili cheese fries, but they were unavailable. Management needed to put a notification somewhere to let customers know this because 3 other people after me wanted them as well. One individual walked out because they didn't have them. Such an inconvenience. We finally order after 15 min. Wait another 15 min only to have our order walk past us and be delivered to another table. If you aren't familiar with the chain restaurant, you have these little table placements you set on your table to display for the servers to see and they match the order with the number on the table placement. This particular server appeared to not care, didn't want to be at work, and just placed our order 2 rows behind us at a table with 6 people. Clearly, it wasn't enough food for 6 people. The people at the table dumped the sides on the tray and then decided to take it back up to the counter. My husband stopped the man halfway up and said, "I believe she took our order to your table by mistake." And he said, "Oh, I guess she did, "and handed my husband the tray. Here we are with food that was handled by strangers. Meanwhile, the manager of the chain had been sitting next to us the ENTIRE TIME. Heard and seen EVERYTHING and did absolutely nothing. Our burgers were not unwrapped completely, but the onion rings and fries were dumped on the tray. Great. They were handled and now cold. The least the manager could have done was offer to make the items over and apologize for the mishap. Nope. She was on break and couldn't be bothered. She sat there enjoying her hot, delivered directly to her food while we had food that had been touched by strangers and cold at this point. We ate the burger and left. We tried to submit a complaint using the QR code on our receipt, but they don't ask for your contact information so you don't know if they even really care about the problem you are reporting to them. I miss Texas Whataburger. They were always wonderful establishments with nice employees, hot fresh food, and warm, friendly atmospheres. Missouri is doing this restaurant chain,...
