Manager was INCREDIBLY RUDE. Implied I was lying about ordering strawberry sprite when I sent back the regular asking for it to be corrected. She said with a smug attitude,"Receipt is right here, and it shows Sprite." I checked my email, in case I had made a mistake I was willing to pay for the new soda too. I showed her my digital receipt that clearly shows sprite strawberry, and she said "Well, he fixed it for you." I appreciate that he fixed it, but he wasn't doing me a favor, he was just literally doing his job. I said "Great, thank you, nobody made a mistake. My receipt says strawberry, yours doesn't. I'm glad we got it worked out." I was so aggravated about having to defend myself over a soda that I didn't realize til I got home that they didn't give me the 10 nuggets I spent 600 reward points on. I didn't even bother calling or going back because she was so hostile about the first issue!
She wasn't wrong- the receipt the restaurant taped to the bag only shows sprite. But my digital receipt said sprite strawberry. I wasn't rude about asking for the correct soda, I wasn't mean or accusatory, I just asked for what I ordered. Then she (I assume she is the manager) came over and made the whole transaction uncomfortable and tense.
I worked 11 minimum-wage hours in customer service today, prior to this interaction. I totally understand that customers make mistakes, and managers are the experts in their fields. I was more than willing to pay for another drink if I mis-ordered the first one. But, i didn't. She assumed I did, then told me I was wrong despite showing her my receipt, and THEN acted like I was done a favor by them making it correctly. All the while, my order in the bag was incomplete. Pretty bold to act like it can't be your crew's mistake when it wasn't even the only one they made.
IN HER DEFENSE, the restaurant receipt taped to the bag does only say Sprite, whereas my digital receipt indicates Sprite strawberry (I'm adding pictures). Wendy's- I'm quite sure you aren't paying these folks enough- the least you could do is give them a system (or training) that allows them to do their jobs correctly.
There's absolutely no reason this woman and I should have been at odds about a soda at 9 P.M. And it's RIDICULOUS that she made me so uncomfortable and on edge that I was unwilling to go back and ask for the nuggets that were left out of my bag.
There are 6 other drive-thrus within 45 seconds of this restaurant, and none of them have ever made me feel like they think I'm an idiot- even on occasions when I WAS the idiot. I'm upset that I'm even still spending time thinking about it. It's fast food- it was supposed to be the easiest part of my day!!!...

Saw something uncommon this morning. I saw one of the guys here hauling trash away from the barrel out front next to the Metro bus stop. This is Metro's job to keep that stop clean, but this Wendy's just does it because it makes its lot look bad when that barrel gets so nasty.
This place is really kept clean and the food continues to be quite good. The employees are friendly, but in a sort of combative way. Kind of like the people of Philadelphia.
But my God...the commotion coming from behind the counter! It makes John Belushi's "Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger" look like Alec Baldwin's "Schweddy Balls.". It's not like they're fighting, either. It's just----commotion. All the time. Older guy forgot to give me my chili crackers so I went back to get some and, as he reached under the counter, he yelled that he did not have much longer to live. I didn't know whether to call an ambulance or thank him for the extra pack of Saltines.
If you go, bring ear buds or headphones and your Spotify heavy metal playlist. Yacht rock won't cut it.
Really good place
give them credit for keeping the doors open, even though they are pressed for staff. it's a lot more than I can say for the surrounding McDonalds. I would rather wait a bit longer in the dining room than sit in my car for who...
Read moreIt's frustrating how every time I'm go by this location, I wait 15-30 mins, and they still screw something up. Missing fries, missing nuggets, bacon cheeseburger plain has no bacon or cheese. It's always wrong. Even when you go through the app so the order is clear as day. It's still wrong. Weekday at 4 pm, Sat at 9 pm, Sun afternoon, it's always something messed up after a long wait.
Then, if you go back, you lose another 30 mins for the employees to complain that you came back and then gripe about not having enough workers instead of just apologizing and fixing it.
I'm not even looking for the freebies you used to get in this situation, I just want my order correct the first time. And not spend 20 mins in a fast food drive thru.
This is why Chick-fil-A is killing the other chains, and you see fast food restaurants closed on main thoroughfares, horrible service, and customers...
