This is one of the worst things that has happened to be in quite some time. This Buttercrust Pizza has opened up literally 150 yards away from my front door. My attempts at proper nutrition, throw it out the window. This pizza is so spectacular, it will certainly be my downfall.
But in all seriousness, this is very good pizza. There are a few crust options, but the star of the show is the Buttercrust Square Pan. We tried their main Signature Pizza, the Kickin' Hawaiin (Ham, bacon, and sweet chili pineapple). And wow!
First, let's talk about the crust. It is a hybrid of the ever underrated Detroit-style pizza crust and the personal pan pizza from Pizza wHut. Put them both together, and you have this Buttercrust pizza. But the crust has more of a depth of... butteriness, if I dare say that. I can't explain it. You'll just have to try it for yourself. Maybe I'm just super suggestable.
The toppings on top of this magnificent crust were perfect. Too many pizzas have heavy topping density in the center of their pie, and then it tapers off near the edges. Amateurs. The topping distribution was absolutely even on every single one of the nine slices here. Professionals.
And the toppings themselves were great. The ham was thick and square and in your face. The bacon was very present and added a little smokiness to the whole thing. And the pineapple was everywhereee, adding that needed sweet heat to every bite.
So grab your favorite slice type, corner vs edge vs middle, and chow down.
We also had the Spinach-Artichoke Pinwheels (Cheesy pinwheels rolled up with marinara and pepperoni). These were awesome! Cheese bombs with a hefty amount of spinach and artichokes. It added that greenness I didn't think I needed from my cheese bombs. Yum.
Overall, I'm currently looking at moving. I stare out my window at night now, yearning for more. Delicious pizza. The best I have had in Seminole County. I've already been twice....
Read moreI had a terrible experience at Buttercrust, and it’s disappointing because this was becoming one of my favorite pizza spots. From the moment I walked in, the service was cold—no greeting, no thank you, just dry energy from the girl at the register.
I ordered the OG Granny pizza, which is supposed to have a specific crust, but when I got home, I realized they made it wrong. When I called to let them know, the same girl from the register answered and tried to convince me that the pizza was correct. I pointed out that their own website shows the crust I was expecting, and only then did she put the manager on the phone.
The first thing the manager said was, “What’s the problem?” No greeting, no professionalism. He also tried to tell me the pizza was made correctly—until I mentioned that I’ve ordered it multiple times and knew what to expect. Once I brought up the website photo, he admitted that he noticed my pizza was wrong when he was cutting it. So, instead of fixing it right away, he knowingly sent me home with the wrong order, hoping I wouldn’t notice.
He eventually agreed to remake it, but when I went back to pick it up, there was no apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, and no appreciation for my business. The girl at the register simply handed me the box and that was it.
This entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth—worse than a messed-up pizza. It’s a shame, but I won’t be giving them my...
Read moreI saw this place come up on my Instagram feed, so I thought I would give it a try. Very nice place. Food was made to order. Didn't have to wait to long. Was able to order an Espress' Yo Self Martini while waiting for the food. Martini was delicious, on the sweeter side, but still good. For the food we ordered Cheese bombs, Mango Habanero wings, and the Mac & Cheese buttercrust pizza. Let's starts with the cheese bombs... Very good...quite hefty I must say.. lol. It was a bit on the saltier side for me, but not too bad. Wings were good. Had very good flavor to it. Had a good kick from the habanero. The house made ranch (I assume) was delightful. Onto the pizza... I was intrigued when I saw this on the menu.. I was pleased. Very cheesy and delicious. They should sell the Mac and cheese as a side option if they could. It was very cheesy and, and the dough wasn't dense, it was nice and fluffy and crispy and light. When you see a hefty pizza like this, you would think it would be dense, but not this one. I would come back again, and try out their regular thin crust...
