Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Oviedo

Tonight my wife and I had a sad experience at this location.The drive through line was very long so my wife went inside. There were a few people waiting for their ice cream orders. The cashier was walking around serving orders. My wife waited at least 10 minutes for her order to be taken. There were friends of the young grill chef Carsen and my wife saw customers waiting for orders make it very clear they knew her. They were yelling across the counter and calling her on their cell phone telling her to get to work. While waiting for her ice cream my wife saw the grill chef give them chicken nuggets, ice cream and mix a drink blue slush with ice cream. Which they were very happy and open about getting for free. As my wife explain what she saw inside I tell her that I saw someone was giving away food from the back door to someone in a yellow pick up truck. It is sad to see the business owner being abused. I wonder how many days a week this business owner is having his profits given away. Also I asked for a cup of ice cream and was given a cone. I have celiac disease but I didnt want to wait any longer for a simple cup of vanilla with dip. If they do that to someone with a serious allergic reaction it could have a life...

Got into the drive thru at 10:30pm. It is 11:08pm and we have only just gotten to the window. The lights on the drive thru menu were turned off 15 min before close time and when we got to the box BEFORE 11pm nobody was at the box after saying “hello” repeatedly. When we finally arrived to the window employees are going about their business and making blatant eye contact. We are not sure if we are able to be served as nobody has given us the time of day. They’re only staring and walking past. It’s absolutely ridiculous that we can spend over 30 minutes waiting to not be served or even ACKNOWLEDGED. The two young men, as well as, the young lady that work there need to learn what customer service is. No common decency. What an absolute waste of time. Never coming back to this location. Went through the drive, the drive thru lady gave me the chocolate covered vanilla cone, the cone was dripping in chocolote with the napkin over it. I let the lady know nicely to to remake it as the one she gave unedible. She just snatched the cone and in the same motion slammed threw in the garbage with the worst attitude. I’ve been to this location with my 12 year old and never I have we witnessed something like this, I am furious she did this in front of my child. Since I was taken back by this, I asked to just give me a refund. With her attitude still going, she said “so you want a refund now?” I just responded with “wow, please get me your manager.” She walked away annoyed and the manager came to the window, gave me a refund and said it’s been a crazy afternoon. I am not a person to call a manage but there was no rush at the time I went. Horrible...
