Worst dining experience, which is really sad because it could have been a good one. Unfortunately I would have to recommend that you go literally anywhere but here if you want a positive experience on the off chance that things don't go perfectly to plan. Our server was good. She was kind and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is a typical bar, hard to hear even when practically yelling even though it was not super busy yet. The kids chicken was good, the chips are homemade and fantastic since thwy arent just a bagged chip. The chicken club sandwhich was meh, we've had better but also worse. My mom, who is going through having stage 4 cancer and chemo treatments has had some changes to her taste buds. She got the Mac n cheese which she took 2 bites of and thought it was disgusting. She had me try a bite to see if it was just her or the meal. It tasted me at best so with her altered taste buds I fully believe it tasted like trash. She told the server that she did not like the meal and it was taken away with no other options provided. We get the bill and it is still on there so we asked to have it removed since it was returned and inedible. The manager informed us that it's not his fault if food isn't liked and it will not be removed from the bill. He had told the server this when she brought it back to him but we were not informed or offered the opportunity to take it home to a kid who eats everything or etc. Because of this lack of option he said he would take a discount off this time. His magnanimous discount was less than $2. I think it was around $1.80. The meal itself was 12 so this is less than 10%. He was also completely rude about the situation. In a combined 70+ years of dining out my mom and I have never encountered a situation where we were required to pay for food that tasted poorly. At most establishments not only would it be refunded but they would have offered to get her something else (at cost) which wasn't offered and most of the time they offer a little something like a small dessert on the house for the inconvenience and I would say that is going above and beyond. So take our experience to heart and know that this establishment will not only never go above and beyond they will also not do the bare minimum to ensure that you have a positive experience. Take your business to a restaurant that will care about you, your meal, and the experience...
Read moreOur pizza was burnt, our waitress was hard to get, there was only one other table there at the time. She spilled pop all over my nephew.
A group of us started going last year after our meetings on Thursday night. When we walked in tonight, we couldn't even hear each other across the table or sitting next to each other.
So one of us asked if they could turn the music down. The waitress walked away and she came back and she said I would if I knew how but I don't know how.
We ordered our dinner. I ordered a burger. Well done with ketchup, tomatoes, and pickles and my fries lightly done. When I got my food the fries were burnt and the burger in the middle was not cooked all the way. This is the second time that has happened there. I had no pickles on my hamburger and no ketchup.
As I started to eat, there were so many bugs flying around. They were flying in our faces and landing on our food. It was disgusting. We asked for refills on our drinks which she went and got. My ice was nearly melted and she just left it in the cup and poured more of the drink over it
One of us ordered a pop with no ice and they said it was warm.
So then they decided they were going to turn the music up as loud as they could, even though they claimed they didn't know how to adjust the music. They did this on purpose because we went in and ordered food and not alcohol .
We got the message. They don't want us there, so as we were walking out we heard the waitresses talking about us to the other patrons. As we were standing in the parking lot we could hear them. Still talking about us over the loud music.
Well needless to say we have discussed this and we will not be returning as a group or individually. And we also made the decision that normally if we don't like a place, we just keep quiet. So we decided this time we're going to tell everybody basically not to go there. The wait staff is awful. They're obviously rude. Whoever was cooking in the kitchen does not know...
Read moreCame from another state was visiting family....wanted to take the family to eat somewhere new. Found Chips. First off the man behind the counter was very short and rude. Asked questions about the menu and he acted as if I was bothering or interrupting whatever it was he was doing.Asked if he could substitute fries for Mac and cheese for a kids menu item...answer was no he could not do it that he would have to charge me. So I told him sure, then he asked if I still wanted the fries...I said yes since I had to pay for each entree. Ordered 6 items in total. To say the least the food was ok...won't order again as it wasn't memorable. They should at least clean their grease as the mini corn dogs were too burnt for my 4 year old to eat. The chips were burnt and dark from old grease. I will give them kuddos as they make their own chips. The portions were appropriate for the price, but lacked flavor. The meals looked like they were slopped together. The outside and inside of the building leaves nothing to the imagination except it looks rundown and old..a dive of a joint, with flies all over the inside...thank God I did not eat inside, my order was take out. Asked the same man that took the order how long the place has been open and how long he had worked there. He said the place is older than him and has been in same spot for at least more than 30 years. Although he answered the question he had acted as if that was to intrusive to ask and was very irritated. I thanked and left with my food. Will not...
