Some of the most insane customer service I've ever received. We ordered a pizza for our work- there's only four of us so we ordered a large for delivery and are literally down the street.
They can't find our suite so they cancel our order- okay, no biggie, we call them and get it figured out. They deliver the pizza and we give them our payment and we move on.
Except its been over an hour and a half since we placed our order... and our pizza is ice cold. :(
We call and ask to speak to a manager since we got a delivery and our pizza's cold. Sam answers. She is combative from the start, insisting that there "is no way the pizza could possibly be cold since we have heat lamps". We say, "okay, sure, but its been over an hour since we placed the order, they got lost finding our building and it was cancelled. Can we speak to the manager to try and get this sorted out?"
Sam says that "he's busy". We say 'okay, that's fine, he can call us back when he's free."
A half an hour later, Sam SHOWS UP at our place of business (a medical office by the way) and starts publicly berating us, insisting that we are lying, there's no way the pizza was cold, throws the tip we gave her back at us and begins to cuss and swear at us. Again, in our place of work. In a lobby where patients can see her causing a scene and having some sort of public meltdown.
I have personally worked several food service jobs and I have NEVER EVER even considered treating a customer like this. She starts escalating the situation and shows us a video she took of the outside of our building "proving" that there's 'no numbers on the outside of our building". There, in fact, are numbers on the outsides of our building, they're on the doors to the suites... which is in her video.
She insists that her manager, Joe, knows she's here and that he condones her actions, that he's given her permission to come into a place of business wearing her Domino's uniform and cause a public scene.
Spoiler alert: Joe did NOT know she was doing this.
Things escalated to the point where we had to threaten to call the police and have Sam escorted out of the building, where she sat in her car for a very long time just staring into our suite for... some reason. I'm still not sure what she was doing- probably taking a video to 'prove' more things. Or have another meltdown.
Our provider called Joe and explained the situation to him and he was appalled at the blatant disrespect and nonprofessional behavior displayed by Sam. It was genuinely some of the craziest stuff I've ever seen from any care worker. I can't imagine being so hung up about a cold pizza complaint that I would drive back to the delivery location and berate a paying customer like this.
When I asked her "What are you gaining by talking to a customer like this?" She looked me in my eyes and said "Satisfaction." She also tried to imply that we are fatphobic (we are all plus size women here) by saying "You've had a cold pizza before, you know it isnt a pleasant experience." and she replied with "I dont EAT pizza!! I might be fat but that doesn't mean I eat pizza!!" Which is some of the strangest responses to that question ever.
Extremely poor experience- probably would be better just... not coming here, or going to the one in Lake Orion. Our initial complaint was never resolved, by the way. We never got a replacement pizza, or an apology for the poor experience, or a refund or anything. Truly strange...
Read moreThis is the 4th time we are giving this place its last try. The first time for delivery it took close to 2 hours to get here. The second time it was ordered online, and it said it would be 20 minutes. I wasn't even there until 30 or so minutes later, where a VERY very RUDE blonde woman first ignored the 3 of us in line, then when she took me, she rudely verbally assaulted me damn near, because THEY forgot to make my order (NOT my fault) then I was told it would be an ADDITIONAL 30 minutes. She then STORMED off to ignore the phone ringing off the hook multiple times, never even allowing me to say anything (like i am not waiting ANOTHER half hour just deliver it). ten minutes later a very sweet boy came to the register and took the man i got in line behind again, and told him how sorry he was it would be a bit longer.....he then called me up for me to tell him to just deliver it..(they actually charged me delivery) and was told it would be there as soon as done. (I live ten minutes away) 2 hours and fifteen minutes later (we called several times before an answer finally then told it was still being made and would be here soon) Driver was wonderfully nice woman felt sorry for as it wasnt her fault, they never told her it was delivery.....Third time, called ahead, waited 35/40 minutes to go in, still took an additional 25ish minutes, and i sat and watched two people tell them off when told it would be even longer.....SO fingers crossed, i'll let you know.....Sure seems that you can take the pizza off the dominos name not to make it better but only to make them FORGET...
Read moreOrdered pizza the other night via the app. The email notification estimated delivery in 32-42 minutes, but the app tracker kept adding more time as it progressed through the steps. After an hour and 10 minutes, the tracker marked the order as "delivered." However, no pizza arrived.
After waiting longer, I called the location, but the line was constantly busy (as it often is). After about 15 attempts, I drove there to figure out what was happening. The two employees on duty were very polite, but it was clear they were overwhelmed and understaffed. They mentioned this was a regular occurrence.
I was informed that my order had already been sent out for delivery. Apparently, when a batch of orders is dispatched, they mark all as "delivered" in the system, which understandably creates confusion. The staff said they couldn’t assist further and assured me the order would eventually arrive.
I returned home and prepared alternative meals for four kids and four adults. At the two-hour mark—after we’d eaten other food—the order finally arrived. Unsurprisingly, the pizzas and breadsticks were cold.
I reached out to your office via the website to explain the situation and ask how you’d make this right, but I’ve received no response. This was the last straw. I won’t be ordering from Domino’s again, as this isn’t the first time I’ve had issues.
Please do better. Ensure your locations are properly staffed to uphold the standards Domino’s is known for, and fix the app so orders aren’t marked as delivered until they...
