I will never go to this place again and frankly would discourage anyone from going who has any dietary restrictions or food allergies. I came in 15 minutes before closing. Employees acted incredibly annoyed and were barking at customers that they couldn’t sit while waiting for their orders. I ordered a regular small coffee with a sugar free flavoring that they had listed. I actually tipped them because they were so frazzled about it that I felt bad. Well, the girl is making my coffee and I can see her looking all around at their syrup options, then she pumped some into my coffee. I happened to see and I noticed it was not sugar free, so I pointed it out thinking she’d just made a mistake. She then admitted to me that she didn’t have the flavor and was just going to give me the sugar one without telling me. I CANNOT digest sugar due to a medical condition. Had she done that without disclosing it, I would have been in the hospital. She then dumped the coffee out with an attitude, as if she wasn’t just about to poison someone, and was like I can just give you black coffee. Despite them having a list of 10 sugar free syrups?! So, I said never mind, just keep my money. I didn’t want to make a scene when clearly they’re trying so hard to leave and I’m not trying to hold them up. I don’t trust them to not poison me. There was no apology, no offer of a refund, nothing. I had no attitude and simply said you can’t just give people sugar when they order sugar free. They were so hell bent at leaving, they were treating customers in an appalling, dangerous way. Please be very careful coming here. I was at my car and sure enough the lady ran out at exactly 3pm like the building was on fire. Sorry customers coming in during your business hours is such an inconvenience. I could understand if I came in 15 min to close and ordered a bunch of stuff that’s time consuming, but it was literally one coffee with syrup and cream. If you want to race out the door at 3, maybe...
Read moreUpdate: I learned Angie the owner, was there and watched this all unfold first hand and attributed to the unkind and disrespectful treatment I received. I will not be going back and am quite shocked that she would allow this treatment and in fact, take part in it herself.
While I had minor issues with orders before… I never said anything. And the girls were always so nice to me! I’ve enjoyed going in there plenty of times before… but I will not support someone who treats Oxford patrons that way. That is very disappointing. Kindness can go along way… I hope you choose to show future customers kindness.
9/30/24. I was pretty bummed to go in this morning (as I have plenty of other mornings), but had some issues when ordering. Granted it is quite busy today due to a town festival, so I understand patience can be thin.
I ordered a lemon tea with honey. I received the tea and inquired if they used metal to stir the honey (as its properties are ruined if metal touches honey). She stated metal was used and asked if she should remake it. I apologized but mentioned it has happened several times before so if she could I would very much appreciate it and I was sorry. I was very polite about it.
Upon receiving this tea it was barely warm (which has happened before too, and I’ve just said nothing), but due to the cooler weather I did ask it was reheated - again so politely.
I feel like the employees should be aware that their kitchen is not that big and their voices travel. I didn’t realize it was too much to ask and should I come in again I’ll just not order that drink. They made the drink incorrectly and I asked so nicely for it to be fixed and I was treated like I was in the wrong.
I truly hope everyone working today has a better day and enjoys the feel...
Read moreThis is a welcome coffee shop in the area for getting away to when you work from home and need to get away. You are so close to perfection. It is concerning that I spent 90 minutes there from 1:00 until about 2:30 and was the only person sitting in there the whole time and no one came to wipe the tables even after I hinted about it. I used the last two napkins to wipe my table and told the kids working there about it. Instead of coming out to wipe the tables they gave me paper towels as my napkins. And while that was a good substitute for the napkins, they completely missed that the tables were filthy. Every single table had crumbs on it. A little tighter supervision of the young folks until they learn what consistent excellence is. They have the willingness. They just need a little more guidance. Otherwise pretty decent coffee and...
