The Oxford Tap — Restaurant in Oxford Charter Township

I’m not one to usually post reviews, unless I truly feel the need to. I absolutely love this place! I’ve come in for both dinner and done a large catering order with them. Both times, the entire staff treated me like I would expect my family to treat me. Everyone was polite, caring and overall above and beyond my expectations. I’ve never gone to a place and had every single staff member act so polite, and eggar to help. Plus, the food is amazing. I absolutely love the “Mikes Mac and Cheese”. They truly have some great people working behind the scenes too! If I could give more than five stars, I’d do it in a heart beat. I do also want to take a second to address a comment I saw when coming to write this review, left by a Mrs. Ashley Trafalski. I don’t mean her any disrespect, but I don’t understand why anyone would take the time to bash a young girl on her first day. I have never personally had any such experience close to what she described, nor have I heard anyone else say any such thing. I understand that shes insecure about her home life, but that’s still no reason to take it out on an innocent waitress. First time customers. Menu was outstanding, had to take a few minutes to actually narrow it down. Food was good, prices very reasonable. Only issue we had was with the servers. When arriving, was asked where we'd like to sit. Never being there before, I asked what were the options. The young host seemed very irritated and sat us at the first table available. Our server was not very pleasant and after leaving a decent tip, never thought to say thank you, have a good night or anything along those lines. Simply grabbed the money and walked away. Then upon leaving, accidentally walked where the hostess stood and immediately apologized as it was quite busy and with being there for the first time, didn't realize I was in the way. I felt obliged to make this review after reading some negative reviews. It seems a few people have had one-off negative experiences, likely due to the covid related staffing issues everyone is experiencing. I think it's irresponsible to flame a local business based on a single experience. The Oxford Tap has been consistently outstanding in its customer service and food quality for the 25 years I've lived in the area. A few unusual experiences should not taint their reputation. It's also important to realize that management is willing to address these kinds of issues immediately. No one should post a review without contacting management first.
