Our waitress Nikki was phenomenal and a true asset for the company. However, the other waitress, name unknown but we will call her Becky, Becky ran our food out and dropped our catfish on the table. Becky told us âat least it didnât drop on the floorâ. I told her we are not eating food off the table, and instructed her to bring us a new piece. She proceeds to pick up the fish, and I told her to not remove it until she brings me a new piece. Becky then returns with our gumbo and then sneakingly and quickly picked up the tainted fish with her bear hand, (against my wishes), walks it 25 feet away to their kiosk station, puts it on a plate and immediately walks it back to us as if it is a new piece of fish. The level of stupidity was shocking to me. If you are going to pretend to bring me new food, at least let some time lapse. I advised my waitress Nikki what happened and Nikki followed proper food safety and ordered more fish from the kitchen. 10 minutes later, Nikki brought our new fish, and then she removed the tainted fish. Therefore, there was no doubt that we received a new batch. Tried explaining this to management but he was not comprehending and was assuming the culprit was Nikki. Must have been a long day for him. Becky needs to be reprimanded, force to take courses in food safety, and ordered to leave her trailer trash behavior and mindset behind while she is...
Read moreHave been here several times now because the food is good and the waitstaff is helpful and friendly. I will keep updating with more pictures as I take them.
Want back for dinner and the food and service are still great. Our lunch waitress came over and said hi as she remembered us, which is pretty amazing. My only complaint is my side salad and soup came out with my meal instead of as an appetizer. I hope they fix this or I will have to stop ordering those. There was a short wait as it was busy, but they moved people through to be seated pretty quickly. Still suggest you try it.
We went in during lunch and they were busy. The staff was friendly, helpful, and took their time to answer all the questions we had in spite of the crowd. The restaurant was staffed properly to allow for a pleasant dining experience without being neglected. I have a condition that does not allow me to eat spicy food, when I inquired about my options on the menu the chef came out to offer options for me and I was able to get a non-spicy Catfish po-boy. This may be the best po-boy I have ever eaten, it was excellent. It was great that my wife, who loves spicy food, was also able to get something that was right for her pallet. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu. I highly recommend this place and feel you will not be...
Read moreI love Walk-On's!! I used to live in Miami Beach and worked all over the Miami metro area. I would go out of my way to go to lunch at Walk-On's in West Kendall, Florida. It is a suburb of Miami. I know Walk-On's is a chain of restaurants but it's a small chain and the food is absolutely spectacular!! The Boudin Balls are superb!! The warm turkey and swiss sandwich is divine!! The beer selection is great and the staff is phenomenal. When I found out that my old hometown of Oxford, Mississippi got a Walk-On's, I knew it was going to be awesome. I stopped by recently and the bartenders were super cool. Alexa and Ashton are the coolest bartenders I've met in a while. They are friendly and very attractive, to say the least. They made sure I was happy at the bar. The rest of the staff was also friendly and quick to get you what you need. This location is a little smaller than the one in Miami, obviously, but the vibe is still the same. I highly recommend Walk-On's in Oxford if you are looking for an alternative to The Square. They have the NFL Sunday Ticket and plenty of TV's to watch sports. You definitely will not be disappointed. I look forward to returning very soon. Thank you for the awesome service, Walk-On's. Keep up the...
