I stopped by today to pick up a to-go order and decided to purchase a gift card. Unfortunately, the hostess processed the transaction incorrectly. When I got home, I noticed the charge for the gift card had not posted to my credit card. Wanting to do the right thing, I contacted the restaurant to let them know. When I spoke with the manager, he told me his employee said I was supposed to return in 45 minutes to pay for the gift card — which makes absolutely no sense. I had already picked up the food I paid for online and left with the gift card in my possession. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, they accused me of theft. To make matters worse, they canceled the gift card because I “did not return to pay for it.” This error was entirely on their employee, who both processed the transaction incorrectly and misled her manager. I am deeply offended that my integrity was questioned when I did the right thing by reaching out. I’m also extremely grateful I hadn’t yet given the gift card to its intended recipient — it would have been humiliating for them to discover it had been canceled and held no funds. I am furious with how this situation was handled. Management needs to address this with their staff immediately. I hope no one else has to go through such an upsetting experience. If you want to avoid this kind of incompetence and disrespect, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

We had dinner at Yolanda's to celebrate my wife's birthday. It was a wonderful evening. We arrived early and strolled around the beautiful canals of Channels Islands Harbor. What a beautiful place! We then walked over to Yolanda's and got a seat on their patio facing the canals and watched the sunset over the harbor. Amazing! Check out the photos. 🤩 We started out with a couple of traditional margaritas on the rocks with salted glasses. I thought they would be light on the tequila, but I was happy to be wrong. Yum! I also ordered a Modelo especial draft beer, which was delicious, as well. Being vegetarian, we ordered a cheese quesadilla with fries for my son and a double order of vegetable fajitas. The food was amazing, and the portion was huge, even for two! The variety of vegetables that come with the fajitas really surprised us. We're not used to that! We ordered a mix of corn and flour tortillas, which hit the spot. To top it off, our server brought us a complimentary flan. We were really well taken care of, and i bet you will be, too!

Date: Thursday October 22, 2020 I have been a customer at Yolanda’s for over 30 years, as most of the locals have. It saddens me to write this review. Even during the Pandemic, we chose to support Yolanda’s and order at least 3 to 4 times monthly. The last few orders were messed up in some way. I have also noticed the front/reception staff is not as welcoming & friendly as they use to be, but this week was the final straw. As I arrived too order a take-out meal, I paid, stepped outside & returned to pick up order about 15 minutes later. I did not wish to wait in line again and stepped to the side. An employee approached me and asked. “was I there for pick up?” I said, “yes” and tried to explain to her I had already paid, and therefore I was standing to the side. Also, I will add that I was trying to observe the 6 feet of social distancing, which they are not enforcing when customers are in line. Before, I could finish my sentence, she rudely interrupted and said, “all I asked you was were you here for pick up and gestured her hand in the cut off motion, as she said “that is it” and then walked away as she had and order to deliver outside. I waited for her return and asked her to come over and made sure nobody else could hear us. I then asked, “what is your name?” She replied, ‘Marianna.” I then said, “Marianna, what were the last three words that you said to me?” And she repeated, “I asked you if you were here for take- out?” I then said you finished with, “THAT WAS IT!” and gestured with your hand for me to stop talking and you can’t speak to customers like that.” And she said, “yes I can.” I then said, ok well, you can’t speak to me like that.” She then said, well, that’s how I talk to customers.” And added, “there’s other customers” and again gestured with her hand for me to move to the side. I then said, “Me and my family have been customers here for over 30 years and I’ll report it to the Manager, and I pointed to “Franks” picture up on the wall. Marianna said, “go ahead he will be here in the morning.” I have never experienced rudeness and lack of customer service at this level at Yolanda’s. Most of the staff know me and my family and have built a fantastic rapport through the years. If this is the quality of staff they are now bringing in, I would suggest they may want to consider higher more people in their older years that actually know how to speak to people and understand the respectful vibe this establishment has always provided. As I do not wish to make age a factor here, it could be. As the reception staff are younger also and seem to lack the skills needed to greet and take orders with a welcoming and pleasant demeanor. We are not the only family that has noticed this change in atmosphere as we have several neighbors that have had similar experiences. I hope they correct this soon, because there will be plenty of us with no...

My family and I (party of 7) are regulars, we come every Tuesday. Today we encounter a horrible and humiliating experience with the manager Katelyn. Prior to this experience we enjoy dining. We did enjoy the customer service up until today. What had happened is I inquired how much longer for our table after noticed other parties getting seated before us. Mind you we had already waited 50 minutes. The managers approach was very aggressive and disrespectful. She verbally responded with an negative attitude and was very argumental. She lack customer service and hospitality. She neglected to give us quality service or even fair service as a value customer. We decided to leave. Once I was outside I took a picture of the the Yolanda's sign. The manager storms out and she starts yelling that I do not have the right to take a picture of her I told her I didn't take a picture of her I took a picture of the sign because I'm a yelper and I was going to Yelp the horrible experience that I had witnessed today. I didn't appreciate her walking outside humiliating us like if we're kids. She continue to confront us and was ongoing argument with us. That's when I asked her for the phone number of the district manager. I followed her inside to get the business card she was extremely hesitant to give me the phone number she was more focused on explaining why she was argumental and explain her excuses for her rude response. She kept saying "like I said!" She never once apologized or said "sorry" or said "let me make it up to you we'll take care of you right away" NEVER. This is too bad we really like dining here. We didn't feel like a value customer. We have dinner nights to go out and enjoy family time not to get mistreated. We definitely did not expect this today we felt very unappreciated...

If I could give it no stars to maybe 1/2 star I would. 2nd time there this trip and this last visit was AWFUL!!!! Waiter basically ignored us,,, finally took our drink order and couldn't get that right!! Then took our food order about 20-25 mins later and we already figured out what we were eating about 5 mins after he delivered drinks in 2 separate runs!!! Then the other guy (waiters helper) brings the food 15-20 mins later AND it's cold!!! Plate not Hot at all!! Beans stiff...rice cool ... None of our meals were hot nor warm!! Told waiter helper they were cold and he takes 4 meals back, returns about 6-7 mins later saying they're hot! Well, they were NOT!!! Maybe Luke warm but beans and rice still cold but enchiladas and Chile rellano Luke warmish. Still not seeing waiter...we were done! Wanted check and to leave! Could warm it up at home better!! Still no waiter....so I complained!! I don't like to but it had to be done! So I talk to manage, says waiter must be overwhelmed, , etc...blah, blah, blah! He wasn't. I saw him walk around us several times trust me. I walk back to table to see Mr waiter standing by the table, arms crossed and looking like down to our table over his glasses like a mad school teacher!! He had brought bill .... Meanwhile manager was fixing our bill then he proceeds to bring new bill over and crumples old bill in his hand in front of my sisters face!! AND guess what????!! We got a whopping $24 off of our bill!! Our bill was still over $100!!! Really??? AND we gave him a 10 tip and he really didn't deserve that!!! Worst service ever!!! Not going back ... EVER!! May do the Ventura one like we usually do but never this one again!! It's too bad bcuz I really liked the...
