Ace stores are all over and carry mostly the same items with the exception for select merchandis stocked for a specific local demand. This is my first stop when in need for a variety of hardware and household items and now my work has an account there so no more spending 30 minutes trying to find someone to help you at the big box stores. They may not have everything imaginable but this Ace is competitively prices and always well stocked. The location is easy to access and great for those who live in South Oxnard and Port Hueneme. If you live near the Channel Islands Harbor or Port Hueneme Naval Base this place is virtually in your back yard! employees are friendly and want to help you like a good neighbor should. Best of all I like the old-school small hardware store. Same is the main man there and his employees are all awesome in there own way. Terrible customer service! I asked an employee behind a counter as I walked in where to find an item & with his mouth full of food he rudely told me it's over there and pointed vaguely in the direction of the customer service desk. While looking for the part, store employees walked past and asked literally everyone around me if they needed help. After some searching I found what I needed, then at the cash register the clerk yelled across the store in an annoyed tone to get a number for one of the parts I was purchasing. He was answered by another employee who went on an angry rant about me not having gotten the part number, right in front of everyone in the store! My family and I will not be...

Atrocious service. Don't try to buy individual fasteners without accurately cataloging every bar code and SKU for them (basically doing their inventory control work for them). The godawful cashier woman was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was told, rudely, to go back and relocate all the hardware I had just documented on their bag (which was filled out exactly according to their specifications and about 10 or so line items long).
