Golden Egg Cafe — Restaurant in Oxnard

This place is exactly what it looks like. The only real upside of going here is having a table by the water. Otherwise, save your money and go to Ihop or Wendy's. The service was horrible. I brought my friend for breakfast here early in the morning when it wasn't that crowded. It took 30 minutes before our waitress came over and asked if we wanted water. I asked multiple times for coffee and patiently waited while she forgot both times. The other servers/bussers were fantastic, they were the heros that ended up getting us coffee and water after 30 minutes of patiently waiting. Finally when the food comes out, it was undercooked and under seasoned. I got an omelet with potatoes and I don't even think the cook took the time to throw even a little salt/pepper on my eggs. The eggs were fine, but the potatoes were disgusting, hard, bland, and not cooked. To top it all off the food was cold too when we got it. Don't waste...

Next let’s talk about customer service the staff was very kind. They were super helpful. Our waitress continually made sure our coffee was full and asked if we needed anything else.

Seating, you need to sit outside on the patio. It has a great view. You won’t regret it in my opinion.

The cinnamon roll was overrated.

I ordered the corn beef hash and it was really good. The portion sizes are massive and I would say that the cost is reasonable. I hate going to a breakfast place where you pay a ton of money for a super small portion but this portion was just perfect that actually came with three eggs. I also ordered the banana bread on the side but I’m too full right now to tell you how it is so I’ll have to come back...

Places an order for pick up and was looking forward to a decent breakfast or better. What I got was something my 12 year old would make. My veggie ommolette was small and they did not follow my order correctly. I has requested additional Jeff at cheese aside from Monterey Jack, dis not happen. I also ordered a cinnamon roll which I did not get and paid extra for. Coworkers banana bread stil had chunks of flour in it. And mine and other coworkers bread was under cooked. Blah! My manager ordered a 3 cheese omelette and ther was nothing cheesy about it , it was dry and not tasty. I will not be trying this place again and nor will I recommend this place! Horrible.
