I’m a Starbucks enjoyer and have been for MANY years, so it was very disappointing when I didn’t receive my drink after almost an hour of waiting on Sunday 10/9/23. When I arrived, I saw the drive through was a tad longer than I expected so, like many other customers did, I assumed it would be faster to place an order inside.
However, upon entering, I was confronted with multiple frustrated customers (although I had not known the reason behind them being upset yet) and watched the staff literally yell at a man who asked for an update on his curbside order. I ordered my drink and waited like the rest of the people inside. I stood on the end politely with some other customers and watched the baristas remain almost COMPLETELY SILENT through this whole experience. I have worked at 7Brew and other fast-paced places and know this did not help their situation. There was no communication between team members and an insane lack of urgency. I cannot stress this enough.
I know this is a newer location but this was beyond frustrating to watch. Only one of them appeared to take any action to remedy the upset customers but nothing was done besides them occasionally saying “it’s coming” to people who asked for an update or even SHOUTING “I TOLD YOU IT WILL BE A FEW MINUTES” to a man who came from outside for an update. Every single customer waited at least 45 minutes to an hour for their beverages.
I was even more shocked when a group of teenage girls (who were friends with at least one of the baristas behind the counter) came in to order and continued to distract the baristas by asking questions and making funny faces at them to get a reaction. One of the girls DIDN’T have shoes on. I get having your friends visit your workplace is fun but there is a time and a place. And when there is a whole crowd of customers watching you goof off with your friends while they’ve been waiting 45 MINUTES is insane to me.
After it had almost become 50 minutes of waiting on two drinks, I walked up to the counter prepared to ask for a refund like other people had before me. I waited for assistance and when the only barista (a kind individual with tattoos and curly hair) who had done anything positive to remedy everyone’s frustration told me my drinks were coming up right when I came to the counter.
If my experience with the staff and the wait time wasn’t so poor, I would have rated the drinks higher. Even a shaken espresso doesn’t taste good knowing you waited almost an hour.
I KNOW this location would do well if the customer service was better and the sense of urgency that is needed for this kind of establishment was there. It’s in a great spot. So please, read this and train your staff how to react in...
Read moreWe were in the drive thru, so my mom could grab a coffee. Since we had already been in line easily 45 minutes and we still had several cars ahead of us, I figured I'd have time to run inside to use the restroom. I get out of the car and go to the front entrance to open the door. It came open slightly then locked. Okay... So I walk around the building to get to the other door, only to be greeted by an incredibly rude girl. She very sternly said that they weren't accepting any more cafe orders as she blocked the door. I was shocked by the tone of voice she used with me. There were other people in the cafe, so it obviously wasn't closed. I calmly explained that I just needed to use the restroom, and that my mom was in the drive thru. She (with the same disrespectful attitude) said that I need to go somewhere else, and that she wasn't letting anyone else in. I honestly don't remember ever being spoken to this way by anyone in the drive thru industry. I accepted the fact that I would just have to stop somewhere else, so I headed back to the car. My mom was at the window at this point, so I waited until she came around the corner. After I got in and told her about my awful experience with this employee, she said that sounded like the same girl who was at the window moments before. She had been rude to her as well. When mom pulled up, this employee opened the window and immediately held her hand out and said "wait a minute." Then disappeared. Uh oh, someone must have been trying to get...
Read moreI have been going to this Starbucks regularly since it opened on my way home from work but tonight I was treated very bad by the staff. The staff are normally very good and some of them know me by name but tonight they appeared to have locked the doors early. The store normally closes at 9pm and when I arrived at 8:40pm the doors were locked and I could see 3 or 4 of the staff behind the counters so I knocked on the door many times loudly but was completely ignored. I then drove to the drive thru which still had all the lights on like it was open but no one came to the speaker phone. I then drove to the window to be ignored again until I blew my horn and one of the girls just gave me a hand signal that they were closed and they all just carried on with whatever they were doing. If they would have come to the window to just explain to me that they had closed early then I would have accepted that but to be treated so rudely and ignored by the staff when the store looked to be open is not the service I would expect from Starbucks who normally have very good customer service. How do I speak to the manager of the...
