The review from Mr. Minor sounds like a bitter former employee, who was let go before the restaurant even opened its doors. Considering he was let go I highly doubt heād patron the place. Also, itās a sports restaurantā¦the air should be full of espn, Omaha play calls, and inconveniently timed sideline/court player interviews. It should be loud.
Iām beyond impressed with this place. The craft beer selection isnāt overwhelming with too many options and they do small pours so you can try multiples. Thereās a great beer for each style, we tried several and really liked each one. The menu has all the regular items youād find in a sports bar but the flavor and execution is well beyond āregularā. The dishes are elevated versions of what youād find anywhere else and the portion sizes are huge. The kitchen staff nailed it during the soft opening, which is no easy feat. The fried pickle straws were something Iāve never seen done before. The batter and flavor were probably the best Iāve ever had. The onions and peppers on the brat were cooked well and had fresh flavor, not over seasoned and soaked in oil. The catfish is what really impressed me and Iām picky when it comes to inland seafood. Most places either have a strong fish taste, thin fillets, and/or grease soaked breading. Theirs, besides my grannyās, might be my favorite. Flavor of the fish and cornmeal breading was light, not over seasoned or greasy, and the pieces were huge (came with 3). Their fries won me over too. I do not like thick cut fries/wedges because theyāre usually bland and mushy. Theirs have great taste and still have the crisp of thinner fries. I honestly donāt have any complaints. Considering how busy it was and it being their first day, the service was prompt, pleasant, and attentive. All the food (2 apps and 2 meals) came out hot and within a short period of time, and were cooked perfectly. Paducah just got themselves a great little sports bar for people who appreciate higher quality versions and a different take on the everyday food and beer we all love. And no, I have zero vested interest in this place. I just really like good food and craft beer, especially when watching my teams...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would rather have someone sit on my face after a brisk walk on a warm day than eat at this place. I am from Minnesota just passing through with my family and visiting family in Mayfield. We Thought we would try this place. The owners are very rude didn't get any greetings when we walked in. The service was slow. They are a sports bar that is trying to serve food that is above and beyond what it is. It's a local restaurant that is. I basically a Buffalo Wild Wings. Way to many TV's and its loud. I heard the owners talking about a opening another restaurant. You have to succeed first. This place is super overrated. My family and I will not go back to this place and have shared our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had two great experiences here in the past, but our most recent visit was disappointing. The pretzel was way overcooked, they were completely out of soft drinks, and the regular BBQ sauce seems to have been replaced with a very vinegary version that just didnāt taste good. For a $40 meal, it really fell short of expectations. Hoping this was just an off day, but it was a big step down from what weād...
